...and today I'm off down to Oxford to pick up djgaryc's "Hi Spirits".

Ive got blackjack club.
bought with full set of decals for £75,£100 and £200 payouts
took me 2 years to search out this machine and i got it for £50
only needed to replace the battery.

someone tried to sell me a similar machine for £350. and i nearly bought it. but the lad working for im in his arcade told me to fu@k off until the bosscame back - try tommorow he said . narr - so i kept searching and presto same for £50. lucky lucky me!

Hi broadsword, to answer you question, they are sold "home use only" as its illegal to sell a fully functional fruity to the public (without a license) for gambling purposes. Thats why you see payout or coin mech or hopper has been disconnected.

Course many are sold on ebay fully functional, but sometimes when they say disconnected they mean "I took the working one out, and put a bust one in its place so when you plug it back in it wont work ahahahahahah"

so is ther any way i can buy one that has not been broken, or can you buy the pieces easily?

No harm in using "ask the seller a question" on ebay, to ask if they really have disconnected stuff - often they dont. If they have, they may tell you what to reconnect - if not, find one that does.

If the bits are missing, they are usually cheap to buy, but can be a pain to install (coin mechs need correct wiring for the routing of coins etc).

Yes, just had a call saying my machine is comming tomorrow morning, cant wait. Also when i came on here the flyer on the random flyers was for mine, and i won £10 of it last week when i found it in a chippy. Not bad seeing as it was only £5 jackpot, and i only put the quid in cos its the one i was getting.
