#255373 whats the best dond?

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 08 August 2013 - 08:13 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Ive played a fair few and watched mates on them too, my favourite 3 would have to be:

1) DOND GOLD

2) Lets Play DOND (the one with levels like Phycho Cash Beast)

3) DOND The Perfect Deal

Dont ask me why i prefer them im not sure, i guess they seem to give better gameplay than others, also the Lets Play DOND is somewhat different from most standard DOND machines, as it has the 5 levels of shots which reminds me of an old favourite of many people..Psycho Cash Beast

#255309 Vivid 'Random Roundabout'

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 07 August 2013 - 09:35 PM in Real Fruit Machines

hmm never had a vivid machine but with any machine i would probably check the fuse in the power supply box.. the metal box at the bottom of machine, failing that and checking everything is connected i'd probably pop on here and plead for some advice !

#255189 System 5 Main board

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 06 August 2013 - 09:08 AM in Real Fruit Machines

About 5/6 diodes have dissolved due to the battery leak, I was hoping someone could help but it looks like its going to be difficult to locate a system 5 board as they are dead technology now!

#255150 System 5 Main board

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 05 August 2013 - 07:41 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi, I have acquired a Popeye machine JPM, it doesn't work. When turning on it lights up, 4 red led's on the mainboard, reels don't spin, LED doesn't show bank etc...

Inspected Main Board, battery has leaked and caused some corrosion over a small area.

I'm guessing i will be needed a new board/repair service?

Its a long shot but does have a system 5 board to sell or know of anyone i could ask??

Thanks very much!

Nick

PS could attach pictures if it helps...

Cant remember what the jp symbols are but don't believe they are bells, unfortunately the picture isn't quite clear enough to work out, but on others on their site the jp symbol is not a bell, anyway who cares haha!

Hey watched you vid on youtube, should have took the phone game! lol, I noticed the Jackpot symbols are bells....I thought Barcrest normally used the Barcrest symbol as jackpot, and bells were normally BFG..

Hmmm i see your point, Vamp it up was clever in the sense you had to use your boost, nudges etc at the right time to maximise the potential

Maybe not all predictable, after a few bad experiences on £70's in general I tend not to have a good word for them!

I just thought the whole take it or leave it was a bit of a joke, i mean like there are not enough DOND's around, without Barcrest? making a blatant clone of it! I assume its barcrest? not 100% sure.

£160 of best offer, i would buy if i had room, red gaming machines have grown on me, although they are all VERY similar they're good fun to play

I had to reply because I knew I'd seen this machine a few times on eBay of late, and after searching  "take it or leave it machine" there are four selling, and one on gumtree also. All around the £350 mark except the one on gumtree which is £200.

Personally I wouldn't buy it unless i knew i could get it cheap (£100-£125) and sell it on to make a quick buck, I love to collect machines but this one just isn't my cuppa tea,

My bad there are 2 on E bay, the other two are the original take it or leave it (not crazy trails), i didn't realise there were 2 types, but yeah wouldn't buy either , just find the gameplay or them (and 95% of all £70 machines a little boring & somewhat predictable) .

#254514 System 5 - Popeye 20p/£6 Wdx

EAST EAST SOUTH SOUTH SOUTH on the £6 version on Amazon Adventure will give £5, other than that every other route seems to pay a quid

#254439 Anyone know any cheap(ish) couriers ?

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 23 July 2013 - 08:46 AM in Real Fruit Machines

Perhaps Gaming Direct no longer operate, can't seem to get an answer by phone or email? Parcel Monkey seem to offer a cheap rate (under £60), but after googling their reviews I am more than a little frightened t use them

#254427 Anyone know any cheap(ish) couriers ?

Alright Spa, have sent him a message, do you happen to know how they charge, i.e. is it by distance or a set charge (i.e. they do not care where location is as they run up and down the country each week anyway etc)

#254421 Quicksilver arcade chain

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 22 July 2013 - 03:40 PM in Any Topic Chat

pissing ppl off with DOND haha, very true... i mean there's like 50+ different types of DOND and more being made all the time, its ridiculous, and even other fruit machine companies have copied the DOND mechanics..machines such as Take it or Leave It, Bank Job etc.  The only £70 i have actually enjoyed playing and that plays quite fairly (as in your able to collect a half decent win when its not in the mood) is Electrocoins Dragonfire

http://www.electroco...p?product_id=43

Funny though, one of the features is called " DEAL OR NO DEAL", they just couldn't resist could they...lol

I'd like to see some of the early 2000 Barcrests made into £70 Jackpots, they did it with Psycho Cash Beast (PCB 2), they should have made £70 versions of others Austin Powers, Arabian Nights, Spiker the Biker etc but hey ho that'll never happen now, before we know it the jackpots will be upped again probably to £100 and will play even worse that ever

#254419 Anyone know any cheap(ish) couriers ?

Posted by nick_uk_911 on 22 July 2013 - 03:30 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Thats just the ticket, unfortunately they haven't emailed back yet and when I call the phone just rings endlessly, i have tried DHL, FED Ex, but when filling in the dimensions online it seems they wont take stuff with a height of more than 120cm, and fruities are generally 170-190cm i think.

Can anyone else recommend any other companies for the job by any chance?! :)

But i really dont know what the are worth these days, can anyone advise as how much to be bidding on one of these, im guessing they are still worth £300-£400?...

This also interests me

However it says QPS which scares me, QPS games always seem very crap to me but it looks alright, looks can be deceiving i suppose!

Since selling my last machine. i think its time to get a new one & it seems machines are by and large getting cheaper on eBay.

Do any of you know of a good reliable courier/man with van etc who can collect & deliver at a decent price?

Sometimes i hire a van but that generally costs an arm and a leg even just for 1 day,

Looking to spend no more that £50-£60 on courier ideally
