hi had another go at soldering with limited success allthough machine worked correctly for a short period ie no alarm and did remember last win in the memory. The following day back to normal unfortunately. I have removed battery from the board again the battery got 3/4 volts so it ok , the problem is i cannot solder accurately enough or well enough to make a good contact so i am no worse of than i was before machine all still works ;learnt a little about fruit machines. probably buy a new board on ebay (fingers crossed) a big thankyou to all that have replied to my questions cheers mike

not really well up on soldering things this small; no problems unsoldering the batterry out ; dont understand the phrase pads all i did was solder between the battery and the board (burnt the board a bit as the solder wouldnt run ) think now the jobs a bit to delicate for me any advice?

hi again i left the machine on overnight roughly 12hrs switched off this morning switched back on to discover same fault as before allthough i did find it quite difficult to solder the battery back in place maybe i will resolder again any tips for the soldering?

hi fitted battery today still got the same memory message and the alarm sounds; does the battery get charged in the machine, have i made a bad job of the soldering or do i need to reset the machine perhaps? cheers mike
