In Topic: Where to buy this type of lock.......

12 March 2016 - 09:22 PM

Hi, yeah it is for a Megatouch which uses quite a complex system where the lock turns and slides these two bolts sideways to lock the machine.  The mechanism is with the machine, but the seller removed the actual lock.  Unfortunately the only lock that will fit the mechanism is the type I'm after - a new one wont fit it :(

Cheers, Mark.

Thanks guys,

Hi AAA, that would be great - let me know if you have anything suitable and I'll get an order in :)  Stan is right, I meant that the cam SCREWS on to a square, not bolts on.

Many thanks, Mark

Hi Stan, good point :)  I'll be careful when I do it :)

In Topic: MPU4 Replacing Leaking Battery

Thanks all, yes I was quite pleased when I checked the battery - I was worried it had leaked everywhere, but apart from a tiny bit of discharge the battery seems not to have actually leaked on the PCB :)

I've ordered one of those newer batteries - thanks for the heads up!

I'll mount it off the PCB as earlier suggested.  Do I just solder wires onto the board, and have the battery just dangling down outside the plastic casing?

Thanks again,

Mark

In Topic: Fantasia Rol A Top (MPU4) alarm - help please :)

A ha, thanks aaa you're right :)

The clips side across and the unit opens - at least, it opens a bit - it looks like I need to unscrew the internal screws which hold the card holder in place as this is preventign the top from coming completely off.  Once I've done that, I'll have a look at the battery.

What type of battery do I need to replace it with?  Does anywhere sell them, or is that eBay link I posted earlier the right one?

I think as suggested before, I will try and mound off the board to prevent leakage in future :)

Thanks guys, we're making good progress and I really appreciate your help :)
