Such a shame.
Enjoyed his reviews and the arcade. IIRC I was leader on the high scores board too. That's what it says on my CV now anyway:p

Whoa..... no way man. Was he not getting 40 or so replies to each release thread like?
Quick ask for the 40 or so F-E layouts before he shuts up shop.
Where is FMEF's new home now then?

So sorry about quitting - but - I just don't have the time that I used to.
All I can say is many thanks for those that came to the site.
I suppose hindsight is a wonderful thing and not having the free time I used to have, I just didn't consider what a chunk of my time it took to do the site.
I would rather not do it at all in all honesty then do it badly - that being said - I did enjoy the return for a couple of months doing it, I really did.
Just a shame that days don't have 36 hours in each one, then they'd be no problem!
All the best to you all.

Why on the super top secret forum of course. The one where you only get access if you are into fruit machine emulation. Shit stirrers arent welcome, which is probably why you are completely unwarae of it. Good day.

Well it's true, isn't it?
At the moment there is acrimony between 'rival' forums, supporters of 'rival' posters, and for what reason? Nothing moves forward because of it. Note I use quotation marks - I know there are some who consider Fruit-Emu and Fruit Forums to be 'rivals'. It saddens me when I see comments like 'get back to FF' or 'f**k off to n00b emu' because in all honesty, the community formed around the tools available, for people to share in a common idea - wanting to play machines on a PC.
It's just that Fruit Forums and Fruit-Emu have evolved in different ways.
Fruit-Emu is the first result you find in Google. As such, it's going to have a high ratio of 'n00bs', and due to the popularity of machines among the younger generation, a higher number of - legally speaking - children (minors). It's a certainty. Fruit Forums has more of the 'seasoned' emulation bunch, and a more adult oriented userbase.
Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy rivalry, but some of the 'rivalries' kicking about at the moment have gone past being funny, and now border on obsessive and almost dangerous.
With regards to the 'rival' user supporters - I don't expect a truce, because it simply isn't feasible. Wouldn't it simply be possible for people to get on without going out of their way to drag certain users or issues up?
I've had to bite my lip so often it hurts on some of these forums, but in the end, it has cleared up several issues I've had with posters. After all, what is the point in going out of your way to bait, or otherwise inflict hatred, on others?
