In response to Cardie1 earlier.....
I'm affraid you need to read up on FME history. You will then learn the full facts about Empire. How they helped and actively contributed to the scene once. Passing on roms and artwork of games for us to bring out on the emulators and how a very small minority broke that trust and produced layouts outside of Empires wishes. Like with Chiris Wrenn (Wizard), it was probably 1 single person who made the rest of us lose out with a selfish act. Anyways, this betrayal lead to Empire withdrawing their kind support. And how some of us may still hold some respect for Empire.
The story about Empire, up to the point they were betrayed, was how we hoped all manufacturers would embrace the scene. We are our worst enemies at times. Biting the hand the feeds us. Yes, we could give the finger to Empire, but that would just show what contempt the scene has for someone, some company that once saw fit to support us.
Wether you like Empire games or not, there once was a close relationship between Empire and the scene. The relationship is now gone. Which is a shame. It would be nice to once again be 'given' resources, with the approval of the supplier, creator and ultimately copywrite holder of such resources.
