#321228 Cash Classic £4.80 (classic layout)

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 05 October 2018 - 07:09 AM in WIP for MFME5

I remember playing this game on Eastbourne Pier.

The Cash Repeater (£2.40?) was interesting because the reels span and you just needed to land one symbol on any of the 3 reels for a repeat.

I seem to recall it could repeat a load of times but that it was boring to try to actually get the win.

Looking forward to it :)

#319543 The Hulk £25 Dx

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 29 July 2018 - 08:50 AM in WIP for MFME5

I remember playing a few of these so I doubt it was a failed test.

From memory it played far too much like Royle Family Banker.

Presumably without the same emptier :)

#315599 Electrocoin Super Red Bar or Super Big 7

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 04 February 2018 - 09:54 AM in WANTED

Hi robv08

I have a friend who has a Super Big 7 which he wants to get rid of (Photo below).

I fitted an upgraded coin-mech to it a few months ago so it accepts new £1 coins.

We are in Lincolnshire - PM me if you want more info.

Cheers, Stiffy1231

#296043 {MPU4 Video}Big 40 Poker BWB Classic

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 02 December 2016 - 03:51 PM in MPU4 Video

We had one of these in Bexhill years ago.

Steve (owner) still has it tucked away in the unused arcade up the road.

I am pretty sure it was 10p/play £5 jackpot and played pretty well.

This version seems different!

The Red Cards in the logo used to be able to hold on the 10p one and award jackpot if all lit (like Red Hot Poker).

I tried changing the stake on this but it won't let me, even in Edit Mode - What is the trick to playing with those settings?

#294031 {SYSTEM 1}Party Time Arena

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 13 November 2016 - 06:23 PM in System 1

Stiffy, when are you going to turn these into a DX mate ?

:) I've not done a layout for years and years.

Having said that - I do quite fancy having a go again with the new tools.

I will ask around to see what resources I can find...

#294015 {SYSTEM 1}Party Time Arena

Awesome :)

For anyone struggling to make it work with the 'No Comms' messages on the 1-3 machines (Windows 7 on mine)

You may need to allow this item through your Windows Firewall - Just let it have access.

(Edit - Just realized someone else provided this information at the MPU Mecca as well)

#292696 {Epoch}Homers Meltdown - Maygay (25p/£25)

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 04 November 2016 - 03:58 PM in Epoch

You only get a repeat choice from the feature board.
Surely you could've just pmed the deisnger with the faults instead of moaning in the release thread.

I meant no disrespect at all by my comment - I was NOT moaning, I was just trying to point out a couple of faults with the layout.

The label on the layout does say 'Jackpot + Repeat Chance' and it sounds like that is incorrect as it offers no repeat that way.

#292674 {Epoch}Homers Meltdown - Maygay (25p/£25)

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 04 November 2016 - 01:51 PM in Epoch

Thanks Johnnyafc for the release but there are at least 2 things wrong with this layout:

1) The hi-lo reel is not correct, a couple of times I gambled, won the gamble (based on the number) but was told I lost.

2) Also, like Vectra above, when I got the Jackpot there was no repeat offered.

#273259 Bank Roll WDX

Thanks for the thanks Pook and good to see you are still alive and well :)

I enjoyed doing the original DX - Images were nasty but it was good fun.

I think DT gave me the roms so lets also thank him...

#270933 For Sale - Maygay Homers Meltdown Fruit Machine - Lincolnshire

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 10 June 2014 - 08:57 AM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi Stan - Maybe one day mate :)

It'd be nice if I ever had some free time - I'd re-write StiffECK in C# as a Random Machine Creator.

#270903 For Sale - Maygay Homers Meltdown Fruit Machine - Lincolnshire

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 09 June 2014 - 06:34 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi

A friend of mine has a Maygay Homers Meltdown machine which he wants to get rid of.

It had been working well in the past but now suddenly does not power-on.

He has no idea regarding value so I would say is open to offers.

The machine is at his home near Boston in Lincolnshire and I said I'd ask around if anyone is interested.

I've not posted in FME land for some years - But I've been here, lurking in the shadows :)

You might remember my dodgy VB Stiffulations from many years ago and I did bash out maybe 10 DXs back in the day...

Cheers, Clive (Stiffy1231)

#237018 Mpu 4 - Swap A Note 1600 Dx

Awesome Game - I remember it well from a Chippy near Warrior Square in St. Leonards.

Modern Barcrests are a joke - Where did it all go wrong ?

#236215 Eastbourne Pier (Arcade Info Please)

Posted by Stiffy1231 on 04 July 2012 - 08:34 AM in Any Topic Chat

Nails
Eastbourne pier is now sadly very very poor in terms of Arcades.
It used to be great - I have many fond memories (including some of a set of 3 x machines which paid 105-120% about 20-odd years ago !)
Also they had rarer arcade games like Hologram from Atari.
There used to be a large arcade towards the front, and two smaller ones as you worked your way down.
The 2 further down are completely gone now, replaced by dreadful pick-and-mix shops or closed.
The large one nearer the front has maybe 30 x 10p machines - all modern, all extremely crap.
There are loads of pushers, games, etc.
There is a small Over 18s section with perhaps 12 x machines.
This information is correct as of the last time I went there (approximately a year ago)
If you are visiting the area, avoid Eastbourne if you like a gamble !
The only decent place nearby to gamble is Hastings, that has a lot of arcades.
Cheers, Clive
