Eastbourne pier is now sadly very very poor in terms of Arcades.
It used to be great - I have many fond memories (including some of a set of 3 x machines which paid 105-120% about 20-odd years ago !)
Also they had rarer arcade games like Hologram from Atari.
There used to be a large arcade towards the front, and two smaller ones as you worked your way down.
The 2 further down are completely gone now, replaced by dreadful pick-and-mix shops or closed.
The large one nearer the front has maybe 30 x 10p machines - all modern, all extremely crap.
There are loads of pushers, games, etc.
There is a small Over 18s section with perhaps 12 x machines.
This information is correct as of the last time I went there (approximately a year ago)
If you are visiting the area, avoid Eastbourne if you like a gamble !
The only decent place nearby to gamble is Hastings, that has a lot of arcades.
Cheers, Clive

Was there, only a couple of weeks ago-unfortunately
Aside the 18 area been un-manned! And slots playin up galore.
I then put a quid in the 10p changer and it swallowed it.I then waited 20mins for some kid to come repair the ruddy thing!
Avoid the place like the plague!!

I bet that quid is the longest that anyone has spent on one machine for that long in a long while!...
… and Gemini even got his quid back too - great value for money for that long with £1!! lol

just nipped down for a look. its not as bad as i thought from the comments here, themed carpet, upto date pushers (rainbow riches for example) redemption machines (pay out in tickets for prizes) and video games. yes the 10p section needs attention and the over 18 is small, but not toooooo bad.
needs a lick of paint but overall a good experience.

was it really worth waiting 20mins for a quid lol, should of put it in a fruity and lost it in seconds
Lol
I was playing other fruties whilst waiting
That £1 might have won me the £500 jackpot
