Hi, my mariokart 64 machine wasnt used for about a year, on powering it on it doesn't boot.
I checked the psu and replaced a close to dead capacitor hoping that was the issue, the psu seems to he working well.

So next I checked the boards and found the battery on the epoch board had leaked and taken out some traces from a chip, I repaired the traces without issue, but the no boot issue remains, on checking the battery contacts I found when powered on the board is sending 5v to the battery which obviously it shouldn't be doing.

Does anyone have any tips on what to check or replace?

Finding a new board seems to be hard to do fir a reasonable price and I have fairly good soldering skills do would rather repair than replace. Failing a repair does anyone have any good reasonable sources for a replacement board in the uk

I am working on my first layout and the obvious choice for me was Mario Kart 64. the reason being I own the actual machine and only a classic exists on here right now. My graphics and photography skills are poor and then my machine started having some faults (most likely the PSU) so it is taking a while to complete. I have the bottom board complete and part of the top board, I will post some pictures or a video of how it currently looks later in this thread and would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to improve what I have so far

Hi everyone, This has probably been asked before but how can I extract the entire reel from a classic layout for use making DX from it or how do I make an entirely new reel?, the one in question is mario kart 64 and the reason is so I can change the jackpot image for the real one. 

Hi, I am considering selling my maygay Mario Kart 64 machine it is in fantastic condition for its age £5 decals but set to £10 (obviously can be changed back) but as these do not come up for sale very often due to them being quite rare I have no clue how much I should accept for it. Does anyone know the approx selling price for the mario kart machines currently? I would take pictures but my camera is terrible and the pictures come out grainy
