Thats great, thanks very much guys this is really useful. So glad i found this forum.

fruitman69 do you have any links etc to any of the fruit machines you have coded?

If i were to pay someone to code  fruit machine for me. How much would it cost? Would you be interested yourself?

If so , message me with some contact details and we can discuss further. As said before theres a potential business idea in the making. I see you already have your own business as so probably wouldnt be interested or would cause a conflict of interests but who knows so lets chat.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for the replies.

So from what I understand you would only use an emulator if you were running the roms and layout from an already existing machine. Hence the term emulation.

Say for example you intended to develop your own fruit machine game. You designed your own features, reels, graphics etc. Would you run the game in a different way as opposed to an emulator.

If so, would it be possible to then write / code the machine to play.

I suppose what I'm asking is does a fruit machine game have to be run from inside an emulator. Is it only done like this at present as the files and layouts are already there you just need a shell to marry the two up and make them useable.

I see on online casinos they have their own fruit machines. These presumably are not run through emulators and are somehow self contained. Does anyone know how these are made?
