You've made it totally clear that your way of solving problems on the forum is to post in public on Facebook your desire to murder people (albeit hidden behind a state penal code) and to show complete disrespect to Alex and the site in doing so. I've no longer anything left to say to you (not that you would listen anyway) and as such I want absolutely nothing to do with this site again.

 

Any other threats or similar that you make on Facebook that get passed on to me will be logged should they be needed in the future.

 

The fact you any your friends are also slagging Alex off on there speaks volumes. I really thought you would show more respect to him.

 

So, if Alex or Ady could please close my account, that would be awesome. Since I am the problem, everything will be rosy after I leave. 

I don't have any axes to grind. I do think it's all gone on a little to long now tho this time and think anyone who has problems should just go away and chill out for a bit. Come back happy and let peace be restored.

I had no idea you were a moderator. How many are there and why are people moderators when they aren't in the country and don't post here anymore!!???

I do feel moderation on here is seen too much as a badge of honour when it's not. I use forums with 2000+ active posters that have fewer moderators, and the moderators don't treat the user base as they do here. Neither do mods get congratulated when they are appointed.

Moderation is about upholding forum rules equally across the user base and trying to maintain smooth running of a forum - not constant threats of banishment IN UPPER CASE FOR ADDED EFFECT which would make any prospective new member think they were walking into a demented playground.

Hence why I made my suggestion(s) above.

OK then, time for some honesty (and what will no doubt be my last post as if I don't get banned I am frankly sick of wasting my breath).

 

Why the hell do you (stanmarsh14) need to take such a childish, control-freakish tone with the membership here? There's absolutely no need whatsoever. You have either been appointed - or have appointed yourself - as the site's spokes-person (based on your recent argumentative posts). 

 

We are supposed to be adults, and yet your constant threats of banning / 'chopping' or likewise of people for disagreeing with your opinion smacks of that from a spoiled brat and quite frankly the site would be a damn site more friendly if you would do us a favour and shut up. Most (if not all) of the arguments I have seen recently, you have been involved in, either having instigated, or having antagonised other users.

 

You claim to be some kind of super-mod™ who has moderated numerous chatrooms, forums, e.t.c. - so why are you struggling to keep a grip of a forum with an active posting userbase of 20 members?

 

I honestly feel sorry for Alex. He's tried to make a run of this but has placed the running of the forum in a bunch of people who clearly either don't give a damn about what he has staked in it, or are simply trying to massage their own egos. 

 

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I'd have to completely cull the current moderation team and start afresh, perhaps rebrand the website from scratch with zero moderation, and if moderation was required, to take people on board who don't have axes to grind.

Pretty sure I use Daemon Tools Lite (which is free) for mounting ISO images as virtual drives.

I'll admit I've not had a chance to play it as I've been busy and don't have my proper laptop... but the screenie alone has me drooling into my keyboard
