In Topic: Natwest In The News Again !

07 March 2013 - 11:10 AM

When I was with Barclays this happened regularly and when I worked for Abbey National (before Santander) it also happened alot.  Trouble is these days, you only hear about certain things because it was a certain company and RBS are top of the media list at present and Facebook and Twitter posts seem to send people in this country crazy.   You only need to look at the horse meat thing to see how fast they all were to try and destroy Tesco the day the news broke and then it turned out that nearly all companies have been affected at some point.

My main account is with Nat West at the moment and for a 3 hour period last night I couldn't use the account, doesn't mean I'm going to go through the hassle of changing my account when I know it can and will happen to all the other banks at some point.

Too many people pulled in by media hype and social websites.

In Topic: Atari File For Bankruptcy

22 January 2013 - 09:50 AM

They've filed for bankruptcy protection in the US so they should be OK.  It's the French half the company that's in the shit big time and the US side wants to split so they can carry on the great work they do.

With any luck, they'll be around a while yet!!!

Long live Atari!!

In Topic: Cruel Woman, Why Is She Alive?

09 August 2012 - 07:25 AM

Whilst I agree that this woman (and whoever recorded it) deserves to be shot through the head several times, I also think it's pretty sad to post this sort of stuff on Facebook so that thousands of people can press "like", makes them no better than the person that recorded it in the first place.
