How much is known about the BFM cobra system?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of putting together a website about the Konix multisystem.

In my reasearch, I have found that even though the machine never made it as a games console, it was sold to bellfruit and became the basis of their Cobra boards (at least the early revisions).

The Cobra games I know of are:

InQuizitor
Question of Sport
Dave Lee Travis's Treble Top
Telly Addicts
Radio Times
Top of the pops

I believe the top three to be cobra 1 boards and as such use the Slipstream chipset developed by Flare technologies (the same guy's who designed the Atari Jaguar console). Parts of these games like the attract sequences etc. were written by the software company Attention to Detail.

The later cobra boards went on to use more 'off the shelf' processors and video chips rather than the custom chip used in the cobra1

I have something that may help the emulator developers specifically, the Slipstream hardware reference manual:

http://www.konixmult...testing/SRG.pdf

(It's 25Mb)

I'd love to know if this helps in any way, I've seen you have the romsets for most of these games, and it would be good to see them emulated.

What I'd like, is pictures of these games running - either from flyers or photo's. Also if I can get photo's of the machines cabinets that would be great. You'll of course get full credit on the website for anything you contribute.

Finally, has anyone got a Cobra 1 board? I'd like to get some hires photo's of it, or alternatively buy it from you so I can photograph it myself.

Cheers,
Mark.
