In Topic: fruit machine emptying device

I think it's wrong that people even consider using something like this.

By all means play machines using skill and knowledge to try and empty them but using something to manipulate a machine like this is straightforward theft. If you do it in a quiet pub then even more shame on you as it will come out of the friendly barman's pocket rather than the fruit machine manufacturer's.

Boooo.

In Topic: how can u tell me the money is going into the hopper

05 February 2006 - 12:09 PM

How much do hoppers actually hold?

I was led to believe mine (Italian Job 3) hold's 125 pound coins without a not acceptor and 250 if it had one. I currently have 149 in it and 24 coins are now 'excess' coins so im now confused as to when they will drop through to the cash box.

This probably won't help you on a standard pub AWP but my club psycho cash beast has a £250 jp and the hopper float is £350 before it starts backing. However the hopper can hold much more than this - that's just what it is set to. £1000jp machines have a hopper float of £1200.

I want to make sure it is on High Jackpot Freq (more jackpots, with fewer small>medium wins offered), 72% payout (lowest I can set it to) - I want it fairly nasty, but with more jackpots :)

Can you do that? I'd love to do that on my PCBC but can't see a way to do it, only alter the percentage right down. Is it a feature of the board it has that lets you do this or is there something missing from the PCBC user manual?

In Topic: considering buy my first machine...

05 February 2006 - 10:21 AM

although worried it wont fit through my door... whats the standard size? those of you already with a machine at home.. how did you fit it in? was it easy enough?

My pcb club is 68cm wide, 68cm deep, and 160ish high. But as others have said the weight is the biggest killer - took three people to move it (the cabinet is 120KG). It's a genesis cabinet so if you buy a machine and it's a genesis, you will need a lot of help to manoevre it. No problems getting it in the front door, but the stairs were "interesting", and I had to take the door off the spare room to fit it through.
