Uhhh... The Refill Meter is the thing next to the coin mech, you mean the 'short/long term software meters/hopper float'...

Can I have his job? I live in Spalding!

No offense, but heres some advice.

Which ever backwater supplier you work for should tell you this before they send you out to do whatever.

If you are operating unlicensed you are due a kick up the arse

Machines I've had in have had cards in, along the lines of 'Site Manager - Hopper Float Management', telling you how to dump / refloat as necessary.

I don't normally get arsey, but I fail to believe how someone in the trade is so stupid. Honestly, maybe it is the fact I've had a bad night, but FFS you need to get a grip. You have trouble with bandits, you could ask your manager. Get a grip

I think you should calm down mate. You all say im wrong but i think youll find everything with that machine is in tip top condition and meters are read correctly.

So for all of you who have just kicked off, I did actully refill the machine compleatly correctly. So turns out you are wrong.

I only ever asked on here as a social question. So if you think you know it all and apprently i need to retrain, you should think before you accuse.

I think its so sad when someone feels the need to get stressed on a internet forum.

Calm down. Or maybe, as you said

get a grip

yes it does effect the refill meter. Dump twice and the refill meter is reset to £125 (empty). Refill with coins you dumped and the refill meter will count in. Machine will play fine. (IE- it knows the amount in it)

Hey again

thanks for your replies.

As far as i am aware, as i dumped twice, the machine resets the refill meter. therefore it is aware there is only £71. Please correct if wrong but im rather sure that it has counted properly.

As for which pub it is, i wouldnt wanna give out info of a client

Cheers all

OK ive just been and opened the bottom door, [restart]... i turned the key, Then i opened up the cash box and pressed hopper dump. It said *PRESS START TO DUMP*, which i did and it all flooded out. I remembered about the dumping twice. So i did the same again and then it said REFILL 100P X 125. I slotted all the coins back into the hopper and it read them as it went in. Ended up on REFILL 100P X 49, like i started with :) .. Just hope it doesnt effect the company i work for's readings when they come to collect the takings.

[This machine is just down my local, which i got called to. Just didnt want to dump and make it harder for the collector tomorrow]

oh right, so if i went and dumped one of the hoppers now, and then put them all back in, one by one with the refill key, it will not effect anything else?
Also, when placing the coins back in one by one, can you do this from the outter coin slot or do you have to place them in the slot on the inside? After all, it should matter should it? as the outter one just covers the inner one?

Cheers for you reply
