I got it sorted. Just needed to use the refil key. I also played about with the percentage as it was set to 98% or something & was giving JP's every 5 minutes and it was nearly always repeating (repeated 3 times last night!). Its on 74% now so it should be a bit more like what I'm used to! I also changed it back to £10 JP & replaced the decal, as the £15 JP decal was just a home made one & looked awful!
I think I might be OK to keep it now, thankfully, as I managed to talk my girlfried round (via bribery!), but I am still curious as to how much they go for generally. I can't find any for sale on the net (apart from Kung Fu Club which is around £250 - £300). So if anyone could advise me I would be most grateful.

Thanks again.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try tonight. I had a look last night & there isn't a volume control on the actual sound board unfortunately, but I'll try the test mode & see if I can suss it out from there!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how much these machines actually go for in working order? Its in good condition for its age (not sure of its exact age but a sheet on the back of the cabinet has a tested date of 1998) & has all keys etc & 3 different jackpot decals (if thats what you call them) of £8, £10 & £15. There are about 3 bulbs out on it, but I'll get them replaced no bother & everything else is in good working order. The only reason I ask is because the missus is not overly chuffed about it being in the spare bedroom (I should have really asked her first!) so I might have to get rid of it after all. :( Bah!

Hi.Thanks for your replies.

Well I picked up the machine tonight & set it up (had to drag it upstairs & boy is it heavy!!!). I opened it up & took out the sound & CPU cards, put them back in, tuned it on & voila, it works!! :) I think it must just have a loose conection on the CPU board because I fiddled with it again & the error came back on. I pulled it out & put it back again (in a different slot this time) and it worked again. I'll have a proper look some time to see if there is anything that needs re-soldering or something. So other than that, I got a good bargain for £31!

Here is the ebay listing..

eBay.co.uk: kung-fu fruit machine £15 jackpot with all keys,spares (item 260057219571 end time 28-Nov-06 10:47:44 GMT)

The only thing I can't seem to do is turn the volume down on the damn thing! It has a list pinned to the back of the inside of the cabinet, which says if I set 'switch 8' to 'off' then it'll set the volume to minimum, but when I try it it just doesn't load up. :( Meh, its a small price to pay I suppose!).

Anyway, thanks again.
