just redone my pc and reinstalled everything but cant get machines to work everyone i try just gets invalid layout error message

I would guess you are trying to load MFME 2.0 layouts into MFME 1.1. Did you download MFME 2.0 as well as FMEIW?
If you are still having trouble then you will need to indicate specific layouts and which emulator(s) you are trying them in.
