hello

you will have a fault with one of the mechanical cash meters.
check down near the cashboxes and look for the number meters.
they are usually black with 6 or 7 number digits on them that click round when money or tokens are put in or paid out.

one of these will be faulty.
you can get replacements but you must make sure you are getting the correct voltage of meter.

they will be either 6v 9v 12v(most popular) 24v or 48v

oh yeah i remember this machine.

you should have 4 meters and each meter should have a white wire and a blue wire running into each meter.if they are still the original meters.

if any of these meters dont have 2 wires running into it then thats yer probles.

It looks like a meter has been replaced before, is there anyway to disable them (i dont need them!)

there are 4 on this machine and 2 are not used (wired in but not needed) as this machine doesnt support tokens. could i use them?

I really dont have a clue yet, and really apreacate averyones help...

also I unplugged all the meters (one connector) and the machine gave a meter error 61 code so it does look good :)

yeah error 61 is the general meter error which means that none are connected.

if i remember right they go in this order

error 61 - general meter error
error 62 cash in meter error
error 63 cash out meter error *
error 64 token in error*
error 65 - token out error

*these 2 errors may be the wrong way round so i would imagine its either the cash out or token in meter that has the fault.

no you cant disable the meters and all 4 have to be connected for the machine to work.

good news, I tracked the error down to a dodgy connector it now starts okay and i just get the refil required error (no cash in there!)

the only problem now is when I try and get the machine to payout no pay soloniods attempt to fire.

in test mode if i test the payout the 20p one works but when i try the pound one it fires them the 20p token shoot.

it sounds like the wiring that should be on the £1 solenoid is on the 20p token solenoid. just change the both sets of wires over to the correct solenoids.

20p token wiring to the £1 solenoid and vise versa.

the wiring sounds like its been put on the wrong solenoids.

Thanks I'll try that, the main problem is that when playing there is no attempt to payout on a win

does any solenoids pay at all including tokes or any cash at all?

when all doors closed do u get any credits when pressing the start button?

i then can only assume that the door cherry switches are incorrectly wired up wrong

i think the pound solonoid may have developed a fault and the previous owner has just changed the wires to the token tube so it would pay out tokens instead.
