File Name: CROWN JESTER DX

File Submitter: fuzion

File Submitted: 26 Jul 2018

File Category: PHOENIX

Here is a layout I created for Crown Jester.  Large layout, runs best on a 4k monitor, scaled down you might experience pixel shift on lamps.

Cracking release!! One minor thing I did notice was the token input doesn't work and isn't lit, well is lit but there's no Off image on that lamp.

Set the Coin to "Tok Phoenix" and the lamp to 256.

Blended Lamps don't need an OffImage because they just merge the On Bitmap with the background

I can never recall the token plate lighting up unless it was low in tokens, that's how I've set it up anyway, if you uncheck the token lo checkbox (18) the token bezel will flash.

232 must be the TT lamp

Oh I see :).   So the bezel has 2 lamps.    Will issue an update later this evening with some other little tidied up lamps  :)      Thanks for the info Chris :)

Hope you are doing well mate.

No not two lamps, I would have thought there was a TT lamp panel somewhere else.

TT lamp was defintely on the token bezel as far as I can recall, I used to play these every day and the dodgy local arcades used to leave them token low.

Looking at the dip settings it states that switch 1 = Flash token bezel if tokens are low.

It has been a long time but can't ever remember seeing a TT lamp on the main glass.    Could be wrong though.  I don't have the manual to check, certainly can't  see it on the hi-res pics I have.  Will take a closer look :)

So what I did on Phoenix was to assign lamps 256-263 to the coin mech inhibit lines and lamps 264-271 to other outputs and I think lamps 270 and 271 actually drive the bezel lamps.

But without any wiring diagrams or manuals showing how it's all connected, there is an element of guesswork as always

Hey Chris, I'm sure this has been asked in the past but is it possible to emulate the tube level sensor for emulated fruit machines so a machine could potentially go empty or be starved of tokens so a TT light would become lit?

The cash mech is set to lamp 260, this diminished when the credit limit is reached.

I don't have a manual unfortunately, I think there is one over at the MPU MECCA, not sure what info it has though.  I did get sent a DIL switch setting, though they don't seem to correspond to the machine.  IE Switch 1 alters price of play but the sheet info says dil one says it alters reel voltage 24v.

Let me know if you want a copy of that sheet I will forward it to you.

Look what I’ve started lol
The TT Lamp does already light up on mpu4 video, the 6-x video I did does. I’m sure other mpu4’s of this era do to ?
Another sound or sensor is like adding is on hopper based machines, when the hoppers full, how about a “thud “ for when the coin hits the cash box below?
The more I do today, The less I do tomorrow.

Many thanks for bringing this iconic slot back to life in emulation.

Looks and plays just as it did do some 20 years plus ago .

Like many above I real enjoyed playing this slot.
