Many thanks for what should be the first of hundreds of new layouts from new techs. Have been only playing with amber for a couple of hours but really enjoying it. My mouth got very wet when I saw Bever Las Vegas but when I opened it it was the Simpsons haha.

on I side note why are people having problems getting amber running? This version is just the most simple thing to run click amber 32 or 64. I did get a dll error first time but just updated my widows runtime and it worked 2nd go. Cain't wait to get my wheels in line so I better get a move on and blow the bloody doors off!

Oh I even managed to make it fit on my screen by editing the config.txt Fits nicely on to my TV now :-)

wheres the link to download it i tried before came  with error cant find it now

Well a little politeness don't hurt fella, but here you go Jon. I was and still is in the first post on this thread so not sure why you are unable to see it so here it is anyways.

Very Nice Layout!

However there are a few things that you haven't got quite right, but I must say you've done bloody well without any real help.

First of all the LED segments are wrong because of the emulator, I will fix them asap. They should work out of the box so to speak, you don't have to create them, but obviously that is not the case.

The dual lamps, such as the £15 on the cash trail should cover the whole area, and then the lamp centre moved accordingly.

So the left lamp centre position X would be 0.25 and the right lamp  centre position X would be 0.75. Position Y would still be 0.5 in both cases, though feel freee to move them around. It works similar to the way you have done the mini's.

The alpha needs a glass extension to cover the area around the alpha, X 60, Y 40 looks about right to me. This extends the glass area without changing the size of the alpha text.

It would appear there are timing issues, and maybe a few sound issues. Totally not your fault but it's a good layout for hilighting issues.

I have some time off next weekend, which I hope to dedicate at least some of to getting another version out with exta tools and a few bug fixes.

Thanks guys. Having an emulator for the machines that were released around my childhood and teens really has given me the umph to create the layouts.

Cheers for the tips guitar, It actually seems so simple now that you mention it about the dual lamping, might have a play and reupload the results when i upload to this site. (Thanks for the filesize change AAA. :)  )

Anyways, off to nod now,

Have a good one guys :)

There's 2 ways you can get the LED Segment number depending on which ports you assign as LED Selects and LED Data. And of course I guessed at the wrong one. It's fixed now.

Is there a reason the reel symbols seem blocky and pixelated?

Yeh it's probably the fact the layout is absolutely huge. I didn't realize I could input a smaller image and then increase the size of it. So the background (£15 jackpot on cash ladder in particular) has funny lines through it, but that is down to the size of the image. Trouble is I tried it with a smaller image with existing lamps and had to resize every one and then readjust the lamp diameter etc and to be quite honest... Just couldn't bring my self to doing it as I had decorating to do etc, so just did it as it is, I'm sure I'll get around to making a fix, that is once I work out how to upload my already updated layout haha, but still can't upload it

Thanks for this, nice to see a new tech enter the FME arena.

Great to see someone have a go at creating for Amber, hopefully we'll see more from you and others. It may not be the most polished looking DX, but it clear enough to see what's going on. Not sure if it's possible to add coins by clicking on the coin mech.

Must say, that although it's a well known machine, to me it's far from a classic Epoch, but still better than, the Epoch hell that was Carry On Screaming (IIRC the name).

To sum up, this machine, this was one feature board experience. Enter feature, spin a 5, land on mystery, get extra life, woohoo, spin again, 7, land on mystery, get game over, boo, spin again, 4, land on game over, boohoo. LOL crock of shite machine.

Yeah I know what you are saying wearecity. It's hardly a classic epoch machine, very sluggish machine in real life, especially spinning a death move on you, you can feel the code working out how to kill you off. Good little DX though.

I had no problems running it, but look at the Amber release thread http://www.fruit-emu...leased-sort-of/

Lots of suggestions about programs to update/install to correct errors.
