Hi everyone, wonder if anyone can give me some advise on a recently purchased machine. 2 issues really although main issue is it does not accept any coins. There was a few spare mechs in the bottom so makes me think its not the coin mech at fault and maybe the small loom but not sure.

May be related or a seperate issue but when i open the door and do a hopper topup i get the confirmation of hopper full but when i shut the door it comes up refill required? Like its "forgotten" what i just did.  I'm thinking this refill required message MAY be sending a message to the mech to refuse coins? Have tried coins in test and still no joy though so probably unrelated (may be dead battery would cause this?).

Is there any way of knowing if the mech is powered up? (I cannot see any led if there is supposed to be one) If i put a multi meter on the wiring what should i be getting?

Mech is currently on F and all switches on 0 which i believe should be standard settings for accepting coins. I have the manual but doesnt show the wiring for the small loom on mech, will put some pics on later today with the small loom etc but just asking if anyone has had similar issue before or a pic of a working mech and small loom would be great help.

If there are no coins in the hopper, regardless of whether the hopper balances says otherwise, it will always say refill hopper.. In the hopper are 2 metal discs, and coins inside the hopper, bridge the gap between the two discs making a connection which in turn tells the machine that there are coins in the hopper. So ignore that message if the hopper balance says otherwise.. Its got nothing to do with rejecting coins.

In regards to the mech, I cant remember which mech does/doesnt, but some have a tiny green LED light that should be lit when in normal operation. Check to see if that mech has a LED (Its very small, so check carefully) then check to see if its lit when plugged in.

Thanks i will check the led later today, do you know if the small loom that sits inside the mech is a standard loom? I'm wondering if the mech is powered on it could be the setup of this small loom

ok so the mech does have led but it is not on. Turns out there is no 13.5v going to the mech but the wire is ok (checked with multimeter) so i'm thinking new scorpion 4 board. Is there anything else i can try or a specific area on the board i can check as if the board is salvageable or if someone can fix these i want to avoid the cost of a new board! All green lights are on so power getting to the board but not finding its way out

ok so turns out after removing all plugs from motherboard and the motherboard itself, it seems to be the power supply. There are 3 +13.5 volts out but one is reading 12.1 and the other 2 (one of which is the coin mech) reading under 5 volts. Infact even the 48 volts is reading 36. Amazing how it still runs in demo mode tbh but at least i touched up on my multi meter skills lol. If anyone has a working scorpion 4 power supply please message me. Much appreciated thanks
