Shocked this morning to hear of the death of someone who has had such an incredible influence in music over the course of my lifetime and for so many other generations.

Very sad news.

Another part of my childhood has sadly disappeared today, ironically last night I played a hour of Bowie for the first time in a while.

Maybe a premonition? Who knows?

 

The Star man is now in the sky with a the other legends we've lost, a man who made all of us feel like Hero's.

Another true legend lost from earth but like the many others before him he maybe gone but the music will live forever for generation's to come. Also the film labyrinth a excellent film

I play the stylophone, as used and heard on space oddity. I have the Dubreq Stylophone original, and recently got the Stylophone S2 for Christmas which is almost a synthesizer. It's a shame he's gone at 69. I played space oddity as a tribute at my home.

I never liked his personas or his music really... but I do understand and appreciate the enormous influence and impact his music, style and character had on the generations throughout the late 20th century in the entertainment world.
