ok ,let me just say thanks to everyone for your help ,im up and running .     i downloaded mfme 10.1    and followed the dummies guide ...i down loaded winsprint classic and played that  ,then i wanted to play the winsprint dx ,but it said something about the roms ,so can i not play any dx games on mfme10.1?  then it said i run out of downloads for today ,

 Most of the older game on here have just the "layout and game" in the folder, you will need to download the "roms" and put them in the same folder as the layout and games.

 

so you have downloaded winsprint  ok

 

go into the "   winsprint classic folder"  and RIGHT click on the roms and select "copy"

 

next you open the dx folder, right click anywhere in that folder and select" paste"

 

fire up the emu and "file  load/ game"

 

 

game shold then run.

  as for dx's  YES 10.1 does run them in fact ALL the  emus do.

 

 

if you "DONATE"  even if it's only a fiver to the site, the download restrictions will be lifted afaik

Well at least you have gotten somewhere - that's good

 

As hitthesix has said, if you donate, your download limits are lifted, depending on donation, but a lot more games can be downloaded in a faster time

so ,i download my favourite game from the 80s superline ,but the resolution is wrong ,im using a laptop ,the bottom half of the screen is missing ,i downloaded mfme 10.1  ,what do i do now ?,thanks for any help.

Use it in MFME 3.2 and before you load the game go into the Preferences section and adjust the check boxes there that will allow the game to 'shrink' to your laptop size

_{ok ,when i started on here ,i downloaded from the emulator list mfme 10.1 ,so do i now need to download from the emulator list a mfme 3.2,to get superline to worl? thanks}

You need MFME 3.2 for the older machines to resize for your laptop.

 

9.4 and 10.1 generally play the newer Scorpion 4 and MPU5 games - these will not resize on your laptop, and you generally will have difficulty playing them unless your laptop is running Windows XP - if it is Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 then I'm afraid you won't be able to do this on 9.4 and 10.1

yeah ,so i try and download mfme 3.2 from emulators ,and avg pop up says trojan horse ,wont let me go no further ?thanks

I have said in a previous post there is no malware in any downloads from our site.

If you really are having all these issues I believe in all honesty you should give it up as a bad job - because we have over 1,000 members here and have been online for nearly 12 years...

I suggest now that you just try and achieve getting MFME to work, like everyone else has or if you are concerned about the Trojan warning (which is a false positive on most antivirus products) then leave it alone

We cannot help anymore than we already have, and I have much better things to do than run a guided commentary on every action you're taking on your PC - please read back on this thread and try once more if you're wanting to give emulation a go, otherwise I really don't think you will succeed at all.

I have Alzheimer's - and I can do it... it really isn't as difficult and complicated as you are making it out to be I'm sorry to say.
