senior tech ? okay i power up the machine , the alarm comes on and sounds for maybe a second or two then goes off , the display then reads strim alm 19.

i turned the machine of disconnected the mech , the pound coin popped out , so not sure where from lol , i gave it a good blow out then connected back up.

powered up the machine then exactly the same happens.

thanks

I think you should remove and fully check your coin mech for a blockage.

If you cant do that buy another.

Ask Baz to supply if needed.

theres proble a coin or 2 just by the separator ( thats the white bit joined on the bottom of the mech  )

if your not sure what to do follow these steps

take the mech out and unscrew the screw in the middle of the mech

that then pulls off

you can then see if there are any coins jammed in there

Me and you both CG 20years at the end of this month mate. Lol and now we have what unit it is being an mpu5 Sr5 1million % agreed on £2 probs, Mechs gone hi or Jammed coins

Also CG your saying that you have never done a ram clear hmmmm ok so you have never changed the price of play on club machine then or changed a game card or proms or mpu replaced or replaced a dead battery on a epoch for example  (In 20years i`ve changed loads that clears the ram)

a ram clear is standard on any of them things  BUT not on a strim alarm

as for changing boards i think ive changed 2 in the last year

psu,s probly 10 in the last year

as for changing a battery on an epoch no i havnt as we dont have any of them crap epoch machines

fruity wise we mainly have  bell fruit  jpm and  barcrest

so you would go on site and ram clear a 1.9 alarm which then puts the machine % to zero

im sure the landlord would love you doing that so his machine starts paying out loads until it reaches the correct %

I always felt a ram clear is more last resort than a real fix.

Agreed it can clear the memory on the machine and temp fix but if there is a fault it will come back rather quick.

Just leave it to time out.

Hands up here to CG and maybe also Nick "I`M SORRY" i did jump on your backs. It was uncalled for (Even tho i had a completely ***t day and was not your) Once again sorry for my bad fingers on this keyboard

Baz me mukka i was just being a ***ky hunt

Yes star your right it will start back at 0%. It was a quick way of seeing if the error was being held with in the ram. After the seperater and down run was checked and clear.

At the end of the ladies<-- (I`m not just speaking for myself there) lol. We do give help to those that have a unit at home or are buying one which dose have a fault and we have to be flexable in all areas some more then others. :)

.._-=It`s not a problem only a challenge =-_..

Tip - Disconnect The Speaker (& Turn It On - Eventually It Should Clear & Resume As Normal) Unless 20Mins Pass & Its Still Going There Is A Component At Fault & Will Need Replacing

Hope This Helps - Would Also Check Fuses Ect + Status Leds
