Hi lads, first post and new to the forum. I'm over here in Ireland and I have two fruits, hypnonotic and bling king.. The last while the bling king shut down and displayed error code 57 - 34..
The whole fruit machine thing is new to me but have a general know how about them ( basic operating ) anything after that and I'm lost.. I've a manual for it but I might as well be reading French when it comes to trouble shooting even though I'm a sparks.. If anyone out there can help me with trying to fix this problem I'd very much thankfull as servicing and parts harder to find over here, never mind getting someone to look at it for me.
Thanks in advance and great forum

Will help us if you can tell us what the manu and hardware platform the machine is running on (Like MPU5, Impact, Epoch, etc).
If you are unsure, then put up a pic of the machine, and we should hopefully be able to work things out from that.
Having said that, the error codes you are reading off, are making me think it's one of Bell-Fruit's Scorpion series, poss scorp 4 / 5.

Hi, it's mpu5 as far as I know. Has it on one of the plugs that go into the board.,

I'm gonna get some pictures up but won't be till about 9 tonight.
It's a barcrest bling king crazy on mpu5, but pictures will have to confirm this.

MPU5 was going to be my second guess.
Right see the attached for a tech guide for MPU5.... don't worry about it being marked for Red Gaming as it will still apply to your machine.
Unfortunaly I can not see a 57-34 error listed, so can you tell us the full error message so we can work out what it could be..... look for stuff like strim, reel, mech, memory, etc in the message.

Hypnotic is Vivid MPU5 I think, pretty sure it's got a black and white swirly centre and a disc reel.
I don't think your error code is listed in that manual but I'm *sure* I've seen it before. Is it giving a message after the error? It's rare for MPU5 to just show an alarm code and not give a message too!
Also, was it bought in this state, or has it been fully working until now and the error has just happened? Has the machine been in use frequently, or left switched off for ages?

As far as I know it said 57 - 34 or 34 - 57. Then after that mux enb I think, I just reset the machine and it worked grand again but it happened twice in two weeks so problem still there, didn't really take note of the message as such as I thought the numbers were the important one's
also i cleared the alarm log too so can't check them either.. Sorry for the info been all over the place as I'm sure you do be sick of repeating the simples to the noob's

It's pretty safe to assume that one of your MUX5 boards is playing up then (some machines have one MUX5 board, and some with lots of lamps and stuff have two MUX5 boards). Bling King Crazy is quite a simple machine we used to have in the arcade so I'd imagine you just have the one board. Normally held in place by push-fit nylon legs. DO NOT just yank the board, you will rip the legs from the plastics and probably cause lots of damage to the plastics that hold the lamps in place! The nylon legs coming through the board will have a small 'notch' which holds the MUX5 board in place, just gently push this notch with a screwdriver, and very gently pull the board free from the leg, using a little bit of gentle wiggling if required!!
If unsure about rewiring one of these boards up (even though the plugs will probably be colour and size coded so it's pretty easy), take a few photos beforehand and you can refer to them when connecting everything back up later ![]()
It's a smaller board than the main MPU5 board, and they are often attached to the plastics that hold all the lamps to the upper glass. Perhaps swap one from Hypnotic (label the boards beforehand so you know which is which) and see if that sorts it, if so the simplest repair would just be to order a reconditioned (or cheap!) MUX5 board.

dont really want to take parts of the other machine, but if there cheap ill just pick one up.. even if its not the problem it will do for keep sake. is there anyone on here that i can sourse parts from? i take it the mux5 board is a light controller of some sort and a bit universal to the barcrest machines?
also replys are very fast and the knowledge is brill on here, big tumbs up ![]()

havent checked the fuses, infact didnt even know they had any.. but in saying that it works for awhile and then goes error, so imo the fuses are ok? but will check before i go changing..

As Ben has said, MUX type errors normally point to this MUX board, which I hear can be a common problem on MPU5 machines.
As already been said, checking the fuses first is the first port of call, and if it's not the fuses, it's probable the board will need replacing.
As is shown on that e-bay link, you need to make sure that this is the correct replacement, by checking the revision number, or taking note of the part code on your current MUX board and see if it matches to this suggested replacement.
