I've just ordered a percentage key and hopefully should be with me in the next couple of days. I've got all the combinations on how to alter the percentages, but forgot to ask exactly where the key fits inside the machine. Can anyone help? They're all Bell Fruit.

Depends on the machine, but certainly when it comes to Scorp4 smiley cabs, they normally fit in to a small d-shaped block next to the stake / prize key, located in the upper left of the machine.

I assume this is for your Showtime? I haven't fitted my variable %age key either, but will do so later and chuck you a photo. From memory, there is a separate 'board', on the inside left hand side of the cabinet, and it'll replace the key which is already fitted. Easy job

Here's a photo I just took in my garage
It's got a variable stakes / prizes key in (no idea why because the ROMs won't change from £70 Jackpot!), and currently a fixed percentage key, but I'm going to stick the variable key in when I get some cash to play it with (and make more room in the garage!).

Ah, thanks mate, that picture is very useful, and will help me fit the key perfectly
yes, I want to try it in my ShowTime to see if altering the percenatge will actually give this machine a boot up the rear, and bring these features into play. There's no altering to do to the program is there? Im assuming it's just put in whatever combo you want, and then just plug into the machine, and job done isn't it?

Yeah, that's it, remove the other one (if it is screwed in, don't forget to undo the screws), and insert the new one, and screw in (if you want, I see loads of machines where they aren't screwed in).
I assume you'll get some instructions with the key, but if not, these should be the settings : http://lotelle.com/g...art_Sticker.jpg
The machine keeps the same RAM (so all the meters, hopper levels, e.t.c. are kept), it just tries to pay out more to catch up to it's new target. Do note, I'm not sure if this machine is the same, but on some of my older machines, banging the percentage up substantially made the machine pay out way too much too quickly

Yeah, got all the combinations already, just waiting for the key to arrive. I just literally forgot to ask the guy when I bought it, where it actually went. Well, hopefully, that will help me see what my machine could potentially pay out. I was quite lucky with this one, I got it for a good rock bottom price. She was selling 3, and wanted £300 for all 3, but one of the other ones was DOND Power 5, which I already have, and the other one was Cluedo, which didn't really do it for me, lol. I have ones I really enjoy playing, and others I just can't stand. So £100 for a £70 Jackpot, fitted with note acceptor, keys and decals to turn it into a £35 Jackpot I thought was a good deal. The only thing she'd lost was the stake/prize key to turn it into £35 Jackpot, but got the decals stored, for when I do get one.

Hmm... I may be interested in the decals should I be able to get some ROMs burned
(obviously I'd be willing to pay for them

7 downloadsYeah, just keep me posted mate. I don't suppose you know where you can get the stickers or artwork that go across the bottom doors do you? I'm after a ShowTime (obviously) and a Noel Edmonds (for BTB). I don't think there was a specific BTB sticker, but just one of Noel on the phone (Picture attached) will be more than adequate.

Just beware those key settings may not match the key fitted in the machine, especially if it has the black switchbox.
I've got the key settings used on switchable keys normaly found in BFM machines somewhere, so will look them out in the morning.
