I would like to know how hard it would be to redo some of the roms for BFM, JPEMU and MFME emulators. The trouble i am having with them are the colours and the sizing. Most of the games are on the small size and very hard to read, and with me having to wear glasses, i actually strain to read what the features are. Also, i am colour blind and most of the colours are clashing together making it virtually impossible for me to see. My monitor runs at 1024x768 as this is about the smallest i can go, even though it can handle 1280x1024 i cannot read nothing this small. I have the Cops and Robbers Club game on the BFM and that fits the screen well and i can see and read everything clearly, unlike the Dr. Who - The Timelord 1024 version, it is slim and i can hardly read the features. What do i need to alter the roms (if at all possible) or do i have to struggle along as is.

its not the ROMS you need to alter just the LAYOUT artwork,
you will need to download the artwork as i dont think you can extract the bitmap that was used for the layout. alot of the artwork (flyers, pictures) files will need to be cleaned up in order to make them look visually better than their current state.
its not hard just time taking, but always better to spend more time on the reworking the artwork.
you can always use mfme3.2 for most of the layouts as this version of the emulator has a resize option that will change the size of the layout to fit whatever resolution your running your computer at.

Thanks D0uga1, time is what i have as i am a stay at home dad of 2 kids. So all i need to do is open the folder containing the pics and stuff using some type of paint program like Paint Shop Pro. Although i do not use that as i use Adobe photoshop for my other stuff. Open the image and resize to fit the layout i want to use then get to work on the colour schemes for the artwork, piece of cake (hoping).
Well i may as well try to see what happens.
Thanks
PS........
On another note, the 2 games i was referring to are on the BFMulator therefore they do not work in MFME.

if there for the bfmulator your best bet would be to learn how to make layouts for bfmulator so that you have a good understanding of what you need to do
i dont make layouts for that emulator only for the mfme emulator so i dont know how hard or simple its going to be just resizing the artwork may not work for the situation your in with bfmulator so my previous post may be misleading for you. these no harm in trying to do what you want but it may seem off skew if you just resize the artwork
