Probably the same as any dead rotting flesh, I worked on a farm once and we had to go out and collect the dead lambs. They always had no eyes and I always wondered where they went, then one morning I was out at first light and saw a massive bunch of mag pies went to have a look and they was eating the sheep's eyes. Never had lamb since. the lambs we collected had to be incinerated but as it was so expensive to use it we did it once a week so had rotting sheep/lambs/pigs for a week and the smell was sickening. I will never get that smell out my head it was vile.
