Well in my local arcade it was pretty obvious when you had mega streak (due to markings on the silver reel). But during the arcades last takings check, they decided to get a black marker pen and black out the reel. At the end of the day its not cheating on our part as a player because its just remembering the markings on the reel. So i feel some-what cheated as the arcade now has the upper hand.

Hows it unfair? The reel is Silver so you cant see it anyway.
Thats like saying its unfair in Deal or no Deal to not see whats inside your box. (literally)

Im just saying that you could usually see some blemishs that made each value distinctive, but now its too dark to see a thing.

but that would not get rid of the "dent's" - nor would painting it black I suspect - make it harder but still doable to some extent

Could of just taken the reel band off. Long as the frames still there all you will see is the bulb.

Its called "Scarboroughmatitis" where DONDs have either No reel or they put it wayyy out of sink. Big reds the 1p = £70 in the large arcade there lol this desease has spread to Smegmess as well
