Yes I use to do this, till people took the piss and stole from me, so I just shut down on forums, actually I think that's why phil is upset, he knows how many I've helped and for free too.

oh and even indirectly provide resources as well, im just not willing to provide a free resource and help support service, I would happy put images up there, but then people would want you to explain every step doing it. why don't you do it feel free. upload it all & do the instructions ?????????? 

 

how many years, perfecting and learning went into all this ? and I paid to get my machine going, then I took images of everything and lots of testing lots, and still do this day these plenty of variables to stop things working, number 1 mpu being updated. but its all not really hard, just backup before you play and test backup works simple really just a few hours of time that's all.

 

anyway,  im no rip off merchant .  I just offer a service to compete with the people trying to sell people bpaks, (AS I DONT THERE FREE ON THE NET)  I sell an imaged HDD from a working machine with games already on, I reimage to a brand new hdd (BRAND NEW) that I have to buy you know purchase ££££££££. also run it up and test it before shipping, giving full instructions of exactly what to do, including recal of screen.

 

I sometimes spend hours with the people guiding them through there repair,  hence for 69.99 I hold there hand every step of the way. I don't just take there money and run, after fees and expenses the profit is very small. I also provide instructions so people have a better idea of what there doing,  

 

oh and lots calls from ebay for help, and if they don't need a HDD then I don't sell them one, I just help them get it going and they hang on to my details.

 

There can be an lot to it, & a lot of time spend guiding helping so good luck with that.

It's just a shame that Rich had the piss taken so many times, that he felt he'd be better off not helping on here anymore.

 

What amazes me though, is how vile some people can get, just because they get found out and can't use and rob people any more, they then decide if they can't have stuff, then no-one else should have it either, and spoil it for the genuine people on here!

Since joining this site, I've talked to several like minded people who don't know me from Adam,  Like Phil, Gavin, Stuart, Rich, Ady and not forgetting Nails there all a great bunch of like minded guys who will help anyone if you ask, like I did when my machine went down, (Grand Casino) Phil sent me a link to Rich the hard drive man ( An Angel in disguise) who helped me so in return anyone who needs my help will get it if I can help, at present I only know a few things but I'm about to go on a course to help me learn more. So I can help others out there who need assistance with their machines. It's like Pay it Forward, People help me I help others when I can, If I can. So a Big Thank you goes out to all of those individuals that have helped me with my machine. Yours Terry

That's exactly how it should be Terry, you get helped and then you help someone else, and so it goes on.

 

Unfortunately though, there are a few on here (and other sites) who are only out for what they can get for themselves.

 

They take, take, take, want, want, want and very rarely (I'd like to say never, but that wouldn't really be fair) give anything back, and as soon as people suss them out and they suddenly can't get what they want, then they try and either ruin someones reputation, or spoil things for everyone in general.

Here here, I feel quite bad for the genuine people when they get slated for helping others with their problems. Take Rich for example he offers help and advice and offers a remedy that is tried and tested before sending his goods out to people that ask for his help but he needs to live, so why should he be critizied when he offers a service and a good service at that. P.s some people may not like what I say but I'm a literal type of guy. I treat everyone like I hope they'll treat me If I don't know what they need to know then I'll go and learn it if I can.

Was only kidding with the price Terry - it is what it is and people will pay what there willing to pay.

 

I know some of my machines are higher than other sellers sometimes and trade prices jump and down depending on what comes onto the market but not one person offers 60 days warranty as yet - Im sure they will soon.

Would you also know where you can get a back catalogue of Barcrest games  and finally would a 777 hard drive work in a Rio or not?

Oh one more thing do you still get the sit down Elvis machines and if you do how much do they go for?

If you purchased 4 blank hard drives 40gb what would you need to put the Rio games on or is the program included when you download a bpak file???????

since barcrest has dropped reels in favor of video based id say its highly unlikely the price will come down - unless t8's dominated the scene with games that do not run on any platform less.

 

all barcrest machines come with a barboot program and a stripped down version of windows (just enough files to run the games basically) so at this point they are all identical.  imagine every base machnie had every bpak file say RR, cashino else etc etc, its only the pik chip on the mpu5 that makes that individual game run for real and not demo.

 

dont assume your new machine will be full of games, just download them from the repro.

I did that nails and corrupted my hard drive. There were six games on there  I picked one of the six and was unlucky to choose the only file that was faulty I don't know if it's been corrected yet the file I'm talking about is Elvis top 20. All the other games on there ran or so I believe, where would you get pick chips from? also do you think £1.63 + £5.63 is a good deal for a 40gb hard drive (used) or not? Yours Terry

Stuart do you ever think the 777 machines will go down in price to the price of the Enhanced Rio Cabinets? Not for a good few years yet - The T7 and T8 was designed to keep adding content and letting the customer buy game add on packs without having to keep buying a new machine.

 

Would you also know where you can get a back catalogue of Barcrest games? There are limited games that can be downloaded now - But please note mine come direct from Barcrest and to keep this above board thats all im allowed to do as a licensed seller - Other people can give you more games from very good trustworthy locations but i cant be seen doing this.

Terry heres what Astra are doing:

 

Buy your Party slots or Double action slotto cab - Comes with say 6 games - Cost in trade about £395/ £495 plus vat from JNC - Then buy a new games pack costing £795 plus vat.

 

Astra do this to refresh the content and gain another revenue stream from an old product - Thats what Barcrest have done with the T7 / T8 cab.

This is a very sad day imo, for a long time, Rich has gone above and beyond the call on too many occasions, only to end up getting shit on, time after time.

 

The latest thing is, since his name and number were posted on here, he's had loads of calls from stupid idiots expecting him to walk/talk then through every single step of the way in sorting HDD's out, even expecting him to show then how to do it from a new blank HDD (which would then no doubt, end up for sale on ebay) to a fully loaded HDD which will work in a Rio.

 

Understandibly, he's now had enough of the idiots and has done altogether with these, which in turn means even less people will get ANY help at all with their machines.

 

I hope all the idiots, one in particular, which has been trolling him for over 2 years, are very happy with what they've succeeded in doing, yet another avenue of help lost so I'd just like to say a big thank you for your efforts.......
