its not a stupid question brucie mate, its just that a compatible emulator ie one that will run the software ,has not been written - yet. its a very common question among newer members who are all keen to play their joker pokers, party times DOND`s etc..

Einstein`s theory of FME 90 downloads = 3 thanks

It is not a stupid question, but one that surprisingly has been asked so many times before that a simple search of the forums would give you the answer.

There are undoubtedly at least 2 versions of an emulator that will play DOND roms, but they aren't publically available. MFME has almost certainly been developed sufficiently to play DOND as the technology is in the emulator already (scorp 4), but not with the latest features (cctalk). Bell fruit themselves will also have an emulator to test the roms, but they won't let that one go for obvious reasons.

I suspect an emulator will become available one day, but not for a while yet as the only publically available emulator being developed is by Guitar and he has his own priorities of technologies he wants to put in, and scorp 4 enhancements are not on the list AFAIK.

What a stupid question !!!

Only jokin likes...cb1 was right on,the right emulator just hasnt been made yet capable of running these machines.

Would be a bit like trying to install Windows 7 onto a Spectrum...untill the hardware has been decoded properly there is no chance of it happening.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

You fibber, if a dond was released that worked it would be downloaded so much it would cause fe to go into meltdown lol. I don't like them but that wouldn't stop me from playing them in the emu. I have downloaded loads of older machine i never liked to for the fact someone has taken alot of time and effort to make it so its worth a play and a thanks.

Well i hate the feckin things, and that irritating bearded TW@T,i never play em in arcades pubs etc but i would play one if it was made in the emulator just to see what robbing feckers they really are. in all the DOND that have been released by bellfruit i think the only one which was good for the casual player was walk of wealth

Interestingly, I once asked if Casino Crazy Fruits could be emulated but was told it could'nt; something to do with Scorpion 4 being encrypted? Anyway now we have it! (and a big thankyou to all those who made it possible)

Yes but that was within the physical limitations of the emu, it just needed working out (no mean feat at all!). DOND needs code that doesn't exist in the emus we have. As was stated, an emu does exist (and I am sure it does not belong to Bellfruit!) that can run these games, but it has been supressed after events in the past caused the auther of MFME to withdraw his support. Right or wrong, until he decides to release a newer version or unless someone else writes one (wink Guitar) then these games WILL NOT RUN on the current versions of MFME we have.

As an aside, I think Wizard has punished the community enough and should at least give it the next version of MFME. I know he would probably use expletives to deny this request, I just wanted to give my opinion.
Good news everyone, you have to play a chipped DOND!

Interesting take. I heard it wasn't quite the case of grand theft emulator that has been portrayed, more a sort of give-away to look like a leak, in which case no punishment is deserved or warranted. Granted we would all like a new version of the emulator released, and the pressure on Wizzy way back then to keep releasing updates probably caused him to snap and release when it wasn't ready, but there it is. Who do you back, Guitar's Harry or Wizzy's Voldermort?
