Right so at long last I have worked out how to break the BWB CHR properly, no more hacks and cheats, just make it work like it should.
Its a very cunning design and is actually designed to fail more often than not.
If anyone want sto know how its done for AGEMAME, let me know.
FMEF cant handle video and I doubt it will in the near future. If the CHR for BWB Video is the same as the reel based, lets get em running.
I can supply a fully annotated guide to breaking these open like a flimsy egg
Anyone from Agemame left out there?

I'm still here, but I mainly acting as an agent now, rather than a coder - I can get it to the right people, though.

BWB Video. Now we are talking.
Hopefully the CHR thing is the same for both AWP based machines, and Video. I doubt it though somehow. If the BWB CHR has been properly cracked, can the same technique be used on MFME as well? MPU4 video is already on MFME, so you'll be able to see if BWB used the same CHR protection on the video based machines.

Well done Guitar..i have no idea what all this jiggery pokery CHR..AWP BWB CHR stuff is all about but im guessing its a breakthrough in the previously un-emulatable stuff being made possible (hopefully ?).
I know you have been working very hard in the background with all this coding malarkey..just to let you know your efforts are appreciated.

Fantastic if you can get these running. Are we talking about all of the BWB Video Machines here?

BWB Reel Based Stuff, Definately.
It has been rumoured that the Video stuff uses the same methodology, just 16bit instead of 8bit. If thise is true, then BWB Video should be possible. Though you'll have to find someone to add it to Mame.
