i have tried quiting many of times i will quit for a few days and i will try a pound and win loads and fal back into the bad rouitine again

Leave your credit card at home !! You wont want to get into any battles without the backup funds.

Rip the barmans/arcade attendant nipples off, that way you can't get to the machines 
On a serious note, yeah, only take out as much cash as you need.....bloody note acceptors don't help people who are trying to quit
