So, we now get a message saying
'We are sorry, but you are going to be shagged on the HiLo'
No offense, that is already in use, shown by the 'The chance of winning any game or feature is not necessarily that shown by the odds displayed'
So AFAIK, nothing has come of it.
Hence, yes, it IS pathetic.
My thread with reference to the JP/Stake and %age issue has now dropped from the main page, which is good, as it was causing 'tension'.
I would like to say that if you think machines are ripping you off on the Hi Lo, don't be such a goon and play them in the first place. If you didn't know that a machine could kill you on the Hi Lo, then I hope you lose ALL of your money in them, you deserve to.

Um, quite obviously something HAS come of it - at least two things, in fact. And equally obviously, the previous disclaimer notice DIDN'T cover this issue, or they wouldn't need a second one. But whatever makes you happy.

I'm not willing to argue on this topic anymore, seeing as how I haven't played a machine for the past 4 days and never will do again.
If you haven't learnt that when playing machines the odds are stacked against you, you shouldn't be allowed to play them - you should be in a home for the mentally retarded.
Either stop playing them, or at least stop whinging that a Hi Lo can kill you - what do you expect? Every Hi-Lo to go to the JP?
F**king morons.

Unfortunatly gone are the golden day's of fair(ish) hi-lo gambling. About 10 years ago, when I started punting major, 2-3 and 10-11 where pretty much guaranteed gambles, even 4 and 9 were usually good numbers to go on. Nowadays though going on an 11 or a 2 can be suicidal! Machines lost their appeal to me a couple of years ago and I have'nt played one in over two years. I still know a lot of mates that do punt and I enjoy playing the emulated machines on this site but I wised up a long time ago.
Let's smash Partytime.

Odd. I noticed a moment ago you're apparently willing to keep arguing it at length with FP on Fruit Forums...

Thats because
a) Nicky Special is being a total fool - How dare he say that using the emulator to prove machines unfair had no implications to FME -
1) Copyrighted ROMs used.
2) Copyrighted Artwork used.
3) The emulators can't be used as a reverse engineering tool, and therefore you can't use them to 100% guarentee any claims made.

I accept I should not have started up a thread saying that Fairplay was shite, but then IMHO it is, and if we can't express opinions then I don't see the point of being here.
Don't be such a goon as to turn around and say 'HA I CAUGHT YOU POSTING OVER THERE MAKING YOU A HYPOCRITE' - I think you need to grow up, and act like an adult or f**k off.

Well, I'd guess he can say that because it obviously *didn't* have any implications to FME. Name me an emulator that was discontinued as a result. Name me a site that was closed down by legal action. There are none. FME, as far as I can see, has never been stronger. It's all very well yakking on about what *might* have happened, but FP said all along it wouldn't damage FME and it clearly hasn't, so it would seem they were quite right to say that.
If you're bothered about copyrighted ROMs and copyrighted artwork, why aren't you demanding that *this* site be closed down? It's chock-full of both of them.

Look Dickdonkey, I have no problem with emulation.
What I have a problem with the fact that [apparently] noone understands the simple premise.
What was used to prove that machines cheat people?
The Emulator.
FairPlay used The Emulator to attack the Fruit Machine industry.
There is nothing stopping companies from turning around and saying 'what the hell are you doing with that emulator, remove all of our roms and artwork'.
What I was trying to get across is that if we use the emulator, which IS ILLEGAL IN THE SENSE IN WHICH WE USE IT, to attempt to prove that machines 'cheat' the players, I would not blame manufacturers for turning around and destroying FME.
You obviously have no idea of the effort that people have put into FME over the past 5 years, so don't come here with 6 posts and tell me that I have no idea of what I am talking about.

Cheers for the support people - Just a shame that unlike SOME people I care about Fruit Machine Emulation - the reason we are all here, and don't like some t**t sticking his middle finger up at the manufacturers and quite clearly using their copyrighted ROMs in the process.
Right, well, back to my layout making. Currently working from a Black and White flyer of Barcrest - Red Alert [not related to the JPM version], which I am trying to colout in, and subsequently lamp. I though I had a copy of Black and White Special working earlier - unfortunatly some git had named the Old Timer roms as Black and White [Barcrest] Roms, which didn't help
TO ANY MODERATOR!!
I think this thread needs to be thrown in the Abyss NOW before it causes anymore damage. It's clear that the longer this argument goes on, the more damaging it will be.

You're talking total crap. The emulator itself is not illegal in any way whatsoever, and using it to claim that machines cheat is also not illegal, because - among other things - it's in the public interest. You don't have the first idea what you're talking about. And I thought you weren't arguing any more?
