right does anybody know how i identify which one i got?
its a 60gb (backwards compatible one) but apparently theres about 4 different versions of it :s

Why? Are they 'modable' now? If so about bloody time hehe.

not that i know of
its just that different ones are worth different prices
as for finding out the model no i found you out have to remove the playback control board & once its off you have to replace it :S
not worth it so will just sell it as a 60gb model no unknown
