DOSE ANY 1 NO ANY CHEATS 4 PARTY TIME!! joking lol. Just wondering if this is true about the pt %s, say a 4 player machine i know all the %s on each machine are there own % but the woman who works in the arcade 2day was saying the top bit has its own % say ur playing player 2 put £2 in it & get £70 of the top it will effect the other 3 machines on how they play when they get up the top?? I thought if u got a big streak on player 2 it would not change the play of the top feature on say player 4?? Has any 1 got the answer 2 this?? thanks in advance!!

I may be wrong but i would think each machine will have its own % key to work from and as for the top reals affecting the other machines i think that is complete bollocks lol.DOSE ANY 1 NO ANY CHEATS 4 PARTY TIME!! joking lol. Yeah i knew each machine had its own % but the top box!! So say if i put £50 in player 1 & then someone puts £2 in player 2 & gets a £90 top feature when i get up there will it go $hit even if i would have put £50 in it?, Let me no!!

are you questioning my Intelligence cardie?
do you know more than me do you???
think not young lad
update, cardie just to let you know from a fellow arcadian who owns multiplayer machines also confirmed % in top boxes either with a % key or dip switches or % test mode on the top box.
so whoever told you otherwise is full of shit

Lincs mate you are wrong I'm afraid.
Each slave is set to a percentage of the operator's choice, let's say 90%. The top box simply delivers the wins that the slave tells it to.
The top box doesn't have its own percentage - that would be illegal.

I know it's not an astra machine but didn't barcrest's 4 player gold rush have a percentage screen(LED display) underneath the reels on it's top box?
i think the machine's have a percentage meter but it doesn't effect gameplay it's just a reading of what the top has played like? just an idea? this could act like an attraction for gamblers? a bit like the percentage screens on s16's? i.e. this machine is currently paying 91.2%?

With all these 'contradictions' isn't it really about time the machine manu's actually came 'clean' and let the players know for sure?
Lets be honest here, S16's and 21's were a blatent backdoor with the AWP laws, and a sticker on B3's etc now have to state This machine has a Min payout of xx%....this opens a new avenue....is that %age true?
I only ask that as mabey there is another backdoor that certain Manu's have discovered?
Could be that the top-board isn't connected......could be they are?...........there are too many contradictions here by those that have a good source of info.
We know that the thread Question has been asked before (more than once), but I for One have still been reading with interest.

With all these 'contradictions' isn't it really about time the machine manu's actually came 'clean' and let the players know for sure? Players don't need to know the ins and outs of machines to such an extent. At the end of the day it's just a game like any other.
Lets be honest here, S16's and 21's were a blatent backdoor with the AWP laws, and a sticker on B3's etc now have to state This machine has a Min payout of xx%....this opens a new avenue....is that %age true? Of course it is - all games now have to got through a Test House. All this is tested rigorously.
I only ask that as mabey there is another backdoor that certain Manu's have discovered? As long as it's within the spirit of The Gambling Act it's all good...
Could be that the top-board isn't connected......could be they are?...........there are too many contradictions here by those that have a good source of info. The top-box is just a means of delivering a game result to the player - all three slaves are linked to it to make it look like everyone is competing for the same money - when really they are not, because it would be illegal.
We know that the thread Question has been asked before (more than once), but I for One have still been reading with interest. What interests me most are the people who know f*** all yet are adamant they are right, when others who are talking sense get ignored...

I know FA Steve and I have never said I did either (I know that wasn't the suggestion), i'm glad to say though I don't play anymore either but i'm curious.
Appriciate you only quoted me as a reply to my Q's, and yup your replies make total sense matie...some answers already that 'shut-up the player'?.....poss thats my point mabey........
But so do others, as I said it will be even more interesting to see real answers from the folks that make them............now that will solve it, think though a few emails would be better though and compare the replies?

Yes it would be interesting to get real answers from various manufacturers - but all you'll get is a stock response - mainly through fear of rival companies fishing for info

Top box % is a target % of payout across all slaves paid via top feature. All slaves have their individual %s, but the game likes to pay a certain % out as top features and a certain % (presetable) as reel wins.
I think it's most likely the confusion here is that in Party Times, there are DIP settings to change the amount(%) of wins paid via a top/wins paid via reels. So if you think your customers will enjoy regular small tops, or irregular bigger tops, there are settings for each of those.
As it stands % for each individual machine is definitely unique to each machine and you will, over many many credits get that %, providing the top box is functioning correctly. Regardless of who wins what and how, on the other machines/slaves.
In summary, the % shown on the top box is the % of winnings paid via the top box for each slave. It's one figure and it's a target figure.
If you have a slave set to 80% payout and the top box is on 50%, for every £100 you play you would expect to receive £40 of reel wins and £40 of top box spins ON AVERAGE. The slave payout is your return on your money, the top box % is just an expression of amplitude relating to a certain type of win.
These are huge cycle machines and are very unpredictable with usually stubborn reflexes.
You probably won't get an email back from Astra. Not an enlightening one anyway.
Lincs and Stevedude are both respected Industry members, so I hope this clears things up and proves no one was talking nonsense.
The 103% (variable usually 101% - 115%) which slot is hot? are the linked lo-tech 'Crests. The idea is that one slot will pay 103% and the others will pay a standard % Very novel when it first came out, but now, I believe it's all a bit pointless, longer cycles and don't quote me on this but I think the Hot Slot can change without being switched off throughout the day, so it negates the reward of guessing the Hot Slot and sticking with it.
When they first came out, some players could read where they were within £100 cycled say, so four machines, prepare to lose say £60ish on the wrong three, worst case scenario, find the best one and whack as much through as possible for the loot.
New programs are pointless, meaningless really. You might have the 103% slot for the while it's on 103% or it might be the longer cycle 80% on a bit of a mad one. Christ knows. Vice versa. You may have the 80% one on the take or it could be long cycle 103% on the take. The hot slot moves around, it's pointless. Rare beast now, still some in Galas. If someone has done the 103% before you and it changes to 80%, Gawd help you. Not so likely now for reasons stated above. Get caught in the early days when the hot slot had been milked and had returned to normal and you would pay dear.
