Float level is how much money has to be in the hopper to pay out .. eg a normal 10p play 5 jackpot machine has a 125 pound float level which means when there is 125 pound coins in the hopper the machine will put all the pound coins that are inserted into the machine into the cash box until it pays out

Unless it (or any other) machine has been RAM cleared, fully floated and only played with £1 coins, sweet FA.also i saw other gamblers looking in the bottom corners of the oxo machines to see the float wat benifit does this have?

I can't see the point in why £5 Jackpot's have a £125 Float, they will never pay out that much.

Because If they only floated to say £50 then upto £75 profit would be stored in the hopper so they'd have to do a hopper dump to get at the money. Floating to £125 means all profit ends up in the Cashbox.

a slotto needs a good £6500 of turnover before it drops a jackpot. the machine is not influenced by the float level, if it was empty it could still do a double £500 jackpot.

Go for a good self cocking waggler, alternatively the drennan crystal floats are some of the best.

AFAIK peering into the back of the machines has been usless since they removed the tubes and replaced them with hoppers.
Used to be worth a look to see if they £1 tube and Token Tube were full prior to playing, however, I've played machines with only a few £1's in and emptied it then had it refilled and emptied it again. So even this wasn't a guarenteed way of seeing if the machine was ready to pay.
