Went to the States last month. Got to go around Kennedy Space Centre. Went in the orbiter assembly building and saw them prepping Atlanta, which goes up next month. They are ace at showing what America can do but you can't take any bloody pictures in these sorts of places. I did work around the rule in the International Space Station assembly building. They kept harping on about 'no flash photography' so I whipped out the camcorder and sneaked some 'un-flash type' photography.

The 'Explorer' in the photo isn't a real orbiter. It was a mock-up. Felt awe-inspiring though looking at it and even going aboard it.

There wasn't a meet cos someone messed it up hmmmm wonder who that was....... . Great thread though made for some interesting reading. There's still a lot of things in my life i'd like to do but keep putting off. Mostly through being lazy and skint. I'd like to tour America as there's a few different places i'd like to see over there. Maybe i will. One day.
