This is a fair point a few hints on sorting it would of been good in a few of the posts. The main trouble is people pushing out DX's with comments like "It took me 30 minutes". As a whole the standard of DX's has been poor of late, thats mine included.
Good on you Snakes for having a go, I hope you will continue. Practice makes perfect.

I'm not sure to be honest, I just took a pic of the last supper then added the KFC bucket myself in photoshop. Bit childish really but thought it was quite apt for the times we live in.lol

I agree, it's not the best, and not all DX's are fantasic, I've done a few dodgy ones, one looked like I turned the brightness to full

Looking better now though. Straighter. Maybe it's cause some of us are perfectionists, or hope to be.

And Ady.... Biatches is spelt correctly, can't remember wher Biatch came from but is commonly used as it sounds nicer than Bitch. kinda like turd and shit lol

I'm more than happy to test any releases and give ya advice on what you can change.

What did you use to DX? Most use PSP (Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop Pro) but I use Macromedia Fireworks. it's all about personal preference though, as long as you're confortable. Some of my friends can do fantastic pictures with just MS PAINT.

this comes from a guy who quit the scene....

if you go back a few years when people who were getting the hang of the emu, people general releases were aweful.

It may not standup next to pooks releases for example, but for a first release i would congratulate the guy for bothering to get to grips with it, and not shoot him down in flames.

Well done that man for stating the obvious. Although I haven't downloaded it, for my own reasons, I think the so called constructive criticism was more down the lines of 90% criticism, 10% constructive.

It's great to get constructive criticism. It can push a designer that little bit more but I think the tones of the criticisms earlier in the thread would be more liable to scare a new designer off. And as nails says, we all started somewhere with our layouts and I don't seem to remember anyone coming along and producing a stunning maiden layout.

Just my thoughts gents.

I'm pleased to see the designer took my comments in the way they were intended, rather than the way people seem to have twisted them in to.

Someone please explain something to me.

Someone releases a layout which shouldn't really see the light of day.

Do you

A) Insult their intelligence, tell them it's great, and get wave after wave of layouts from people who with a bit of a nudge could produce some good work, or

Tell them it needs to be improved. I may be a bit blunt in my approach but I genuinely don't think I come across as offensive.

f*** me it's no wonder theres so many people in this country who can't read or do maths when they come out of school, if people aren't interested in making people work a bit harder to better themselves. If you let people get slack, you get slack results.

So thanks to the designer for knuckling down and improving it. I'd gladly give you some advice / lessons if need be.

Oh, and to those who come back and say I'm being a c*** - the person I was actually talking to doesn't seem to be complaining.

I have to admit that yes your comments were strong. but i did take them in the right way cause i thought f*** that im gonna do a better one even nough my red blue lights are abit shit still but my artwork is slightly beter thanks Snakes;)

well we all make mistakes but hey nobody is perfect. although i have already got a version of this ( das'd i think) i will have a bash at this later.

I just played Dad's version of this and when I finally got £25,the bell went off and did not stop,causing me to shut the thing down.

Is this a permenent bug or just something that happens occasionally.

By the way,thumbs up to anyone that takes the time/trouble to come up with a new dx,even if its not perfect.
