#118969 worst top 3 machines ever!

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 01 June 2008 - 04:16 PM in Real Fruit Machines

1 ... All those vile 10p/£5 JP rip offs of 30p/£25 JP fruities that litter the arcades in all the coastal towns. Jeez, you can lose £30 an hour in 'em no trouble. If you're gonna lose £30 an hour you may as well be playing the £25 & £35 JP ones, at least you've got half a chance of winning a decent JP.

2 ... American style Granny machines. Plop plop plop. Plop plop plop. No features, no nudges just .... Plop plop plop.

3 ... All other fruities, especially those "16 nudges for £1.60" skanks.

#86030 Worlds fastest animal

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 22 June 2007 - 07:32 AM in Any Topic Chat

I really want one of these, sure they can break bones with thier kick or slice to the bone if you get a "spearer".
Think after I get my reef tank up and running I'll be buying a tank just for one of these stunners.

I think the moozak was wrong though, shoulda been "Crab" by Weezer.

#121958 Working Out The Percentage

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 27 June 2008 - 09:57 AM in Real Fruit Machines

Playing fruities in the wild is great fun as we all know but how often have you walked away from a fruity with the feeling that the session you've just had was "slightly under percentage"?

Well, I had a blast on a Red Gaming £250JP clubber the other day and I purchased £100 worth of fruit machine entertainment which lasted a full half hour. The machine said "70%" but when I added up the total of all the payouts and came up with (£5 + 4x£3 + 4x£2 = £25) (all of which were fed back into the machine) I was a little doubtful about this "70%".

So, using the math formula for geometric progressions I have worked out how to derive the %age payout for any given fruity session. To wit:

L = What you lost
T = Total sum of all the payouts (which you stuck back in)

T should be 2.33 times L for a 70% fruity (ie P, the percentage = 0.70)

Geometric progressions ....

L + T = L * (1 - (P ^ (n + 1)))/(1 - P)

... and if P < 1 then as n approachs infinity P ^ (n + 1) appoaches zero so it's ...

L + T = L/(1 - P)
(L + T) * (1 - P) = L
L + T - P(L + T) = L

ie P = T/(L + T)

So for my little session

P = £25/(£100 + £25) = 20%

There .... I knew I'd been done. And the maths proves it! The formula assumes that all winnings are fed back into the machine so make sure you don't walk away with anything.

#139584 woolworths for a pound

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 20 November 2008 - 01:29 PM in Any Topic Chat

It's redic. So many heavily geared companies getting caught out now. I think that for a person to become CEO of a company they should be made to play Railroad Tycoon II and achieve gold in all 18 campaigns. And the add-on.

Oh, uh, sorry. I didn't read the thread. These companies are going under 'cos their just plain shit rip-off merchants, not because of leverage. They need to stay sharp to keep afloat now. But many of them are such rip offs. M&S food is just redic. 2x what others charge.

#98013 WIP - Arabian Nights 1280 DX

That looks great. I don't know why but this was always my favourite out of all its clones. Looking forward to its release.

Gaz

Good DXing work. Plays very well. One question though .... Why don't the old IN/OUT IN/OUT meters work? I've noticed this on a couple of other releases, namely Lotta Luck, Neptune's Treasure & Spiker The Biker. Gotta have the old IN/OUT IN/OUT meters working yes no?

When you're out and about (in the High Street f'rinstance) what music plays in your head when you catch your reflection in a shop window? There's no prize for the top entry and only mentals can enter. Here's mine:

#138904 What books have you read thread.

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 15 November 2008 - 12:05 PM in Any Topic Chat

Not read it recently but last one to stand out for me was American Psycho by Bret Eastern Ellis just don't associate it with the crappy film made in hollywood adapted my arse.

"American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis is the worst book I ever read. Closely followed by "Divorcing Jack" by Colin Bateman. My fave good books are:

Richard Brautigan - Tokyo Montana Express
Franz Kafka - The Trial
Angela Carter - The Magic Toyshop
Damon Runyon - On Broadway
Nelson Algren - The Neon Wilderness
Iain Banks - The Wasp Factory
Ian McEwan - 1st two books of short stories
Ken Kesey - One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Anthony Burgess - Clockwork Orange
J D Salinger - Catcher In The Rye

The last two books I bought were Robert Carver & Tobias Wolfe about 12 years ago and I don't think I'll ever buy anymore books 'cos they're crap.

#114339 Want to learn how to DX?

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 17 April 2008 - 07:47 AM in General FME Discussion

Room for one more at the back?

Shame it's not a photography course eh Ady? ;)

Well, if you have a flyer & ROMs for Barcrest's Overload (AKA Total Power Cut) I'd like to have a crack at that but it'll be a one off for the time been as I'm not very well, not very well at all .... but if I were to get better I could knock out a few DXs I guess (with some help, of course, if you'd be so kind).

What say you?

PP = SOAP/(IS + SOAP) ... assumes all payouts ploughed back into machine

IS = Initial Stake
SOAP = Sum Of All Payouts
PP = Percentage Payout

For you ...

IS = £20
SOAP = £0
=> PP = 0%
