#78979 MFME Tip Of The Day

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 26 March 2007 - 12:19 PM in General FME Discussion

When designing and testing your layouts for MFME 9.4 (You know, the emulator that doesn't exist and hasn't existed for the past 5 years even though you can you find layouts emblazoned with "Created by Such & Such 2001") try matching the Percentage & SetPercent settings like so:

SetPercent 70 ... Percentage 0
SetPercent 72 ... Percentage 1
SetPercent 74 ... Percentage 2
SetPercent 76 ... Percentage 3
SetPercent 78 ... Percentage 4
SetPercent 80 ... Percentage 5
SetPercent 82 ... Percentage 6
SetPercent 84 ... Percentage 7
SetPercent 86 ... Percentage 8
SetPercent 88 ... Percentage 9
SetPercent 90 ... Percentage 10
SetPercent 92 ... Percentage 11
SetPercent 94 ... Percentage 12
SetPercent 96 ... Percentage 13
SetPercent 98 ... Percentage 14

The mathematical formulae for the above is as follows:

SetPercent = 70 + (2 x Percentage)
...................... Or ......................
Percentage = 1/2 x (SetPercent - 70) <------- Maths "O" Level Required

When you do this you should RESET the machine and CLEAR THE RAM and then edit the .gam file and make sure that the following parameters are zeroed:

TotalIn 0
TotalOut 0
SEC2 "CASH IN " 0
SEC3 "CASHOUT" 0

Then, when you play the machine you'll notice two things:

(i) Your desired payout percentage appears in BOTH the "Stake/Prize" & "Statistics" boxes. This is an indication that the emulator has got the correct percentage.

(ii) After you've stuck "a coupla grand" through the machine and toggle the F12 setting you'll notice that the Drift is actually spot on, enabling you to witness the machine's behaviour, vis a vis how much Drift it builds up before kicking out a nice big streak and (shock horror) that the machine is even prepared to go into negative Drift occassionally, although not by much.

It is my opinion that this will greatly enhance your overall fruit machining experience.

Yes Fruity_Goodness it seems your observations are correct and isn't it a funny thing that all those Fruit Machine guides are all a lot of nonsense as the machine will only pay out when it's good and ready.

It seems that that ginger bloke in the pub was right when he used to say "No no ... Don't collect your winnings yet ... You wanna stick another pound in". Of course, as soon as you collect your winnings the Drift drops.

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 26 March 2007 - 12:45 PM in General FME Discussion

The %'age can be altered by playing with the dip settings.

Best way to change percentages is using the following pairings in the .gam file:

SetPercent 70 ... Percentage 0
SetPercent 72 ... Percentage 1
SetPercent 74 ... Percentage 2
SetPercent 76 ... Percentage 3
SetPercent 78 ... Percentage 4
SetPercent 80 ... Percentage 5
SetPercent 82 ... Percentage 6
SetPercent 84 ... Percentage 7
SetPercent 86 ... Percentage 8
SetPercent 88 ... Percentage 9
SetPercent 90 ... Percentage 10
SetPercent 92 ... Percentage 11
SetPercent 94 ... Percentage 12
SetPercent 96 ... Percentage 13
SetPercent 98 ... Percentage 14

That's the truth.

Not just that but he is talking crap with it. ;)

Well, I was only trying to post a constructive observation on how to get MFME 9.4 to display reliable Drift settings. The nub of my jist was simply that in order to change percentage settings you don't need to mess around with DIP Switch settings, you simply need to ensure to get the SetPercent & Percentage pairings right.

Now I've posted said missive I see no excuse for shoddy releases with incorrect SetPercent & Percentage pairings.

Message ends.

#79630 £35 Jackpot Machines

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 01 April 2007 - 04:02 PM in Real Fruit Machines

I must have put £40 in, in less than 3 minutes (Deal or no deal). Got most of it back but thats not the issue.

Yeah, I "lost" £50 in a Deal Or No Deal. 10 minutes play (no shit). Got the 3 x telephones and got to play the Big Board for £5.45, £5.02, £2.60 and went on to the bitter end for a £1.60 win. I think that was the only cash win I took out the machine.

£50 for 10 minutes of worth of fruit machine entertainment. Poor show.

It's only been 10 weeks since i started and only 6 weeks at GA but I feel so much better in myself. I know people will say that if u play the emu you are still gambaling

Eh? If you play the emu you are still gambling? I don't geddit, please explain.

I can understand that if you are a member of GA you must abstain from ALL FORMS OF GAMBLING (a real pain, you even have to watch what you buy at the supermarket .... one packet of crisps - IS THERE A CRISP £20 NOTE INSIDE? - could be a relapse, negligence being no defence) but please to explain.

Are you staking fourpence worth of electricity against the hope of gaining 12 microns of pleasure at getting a Jackpot Repeater on Supa Steppa?

Thanks James. I will tell you one thing it's not been easy, and I know it going to be hard over the next few months too. I am looking for somthing to fill the gap now and am thinking about driving lesson. somthing i have always wanted to do but could never afford it as to my gambaling.

Have you thought about taking up the heroin? Excellent gap filler.

#81353 Good News From ''Fruity_Goodness''

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 27 April 2007 - 12:11 PM in General FME Discussion

Greetings Fellow Fruit Machine Players,

I bring good news for players of the ALL NEW MFME 9.4 Emulator who like to listen to music when they shovel their virtual cash money into the emu.

MFME 9.4 is loud and it has no facility to control or mute the volume.

But now, due to extensive internet resource research, I have located a utility which will enable you to mute MFME 9.4 so you can listen to music as you play.

The utility is called IndieVolume and costs a mere $24.95 and is available here:

***Link deleted***

Now you can blast out Arctic Monkeys & Kaiser Chiefs ... etc etc ... meassage ends.

I'd like to see Monkey Business DXed. Not the granny machine but an oldie 2p/£2.00 lapper where when you land on the "?" you invariably get the Zookeeper telling you you're barred or summat. Plenty of features, plenty of fun.

Used to have one in The Mint in Great Yarmouth, dunno if they still do. Hours of fun for just a few squid.

#81742 Old joke (it made me giggle)

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 03 May 2007 - 08:34 PM in Any Topic Chat

Trisha and Latoya pay a visit to the zoo and while they are visiting the monkey enclosure Trisha is snared by a big, f*** off silverback gorilla, which commences mauling her in a most savage fashion. Latoya alerts the zoo staff and they arrive on the scene just as the silverback starts raping poor old Trisha in the "tradesman's entrance". Not knowing what to do they turn a fire hose on the beast before pelting it with rocks, both of which has no effect whatsoever. Eventually, a vetinary technician arrives and pumps the gorilla so full of tranquilliser darts that it finally keels over in a dazed heap and the waiting paramedics rush in and take poor old Trisha off to hospital.

The prognosis is not good, as the gorilla has done plenty of damage and Trisha's whole body is greatly traumatized, especially her guts, which are hanging down loose around her ankles. However, she pulls though and makes a good recovery and two weeks later her friend Latoya pays her a visit and wiping tears from her eyes she tells Trisha "Trisha .... I just want you know that I'll always be here for you dear .... We gonna get through this thing together sister" to which Trisha tearfully replies "I know .... I know .... But he don't write .... He don't call"

#81761 **great Yarmouth** Any1 Been Recently?

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 04 May 2007 - 12:47 PM in General FME Discussion

Just returned from Gt Yarmouth after a weeks holiday

Visited Wellington Pier - Took over £2000 from Rainbow Riches & Megaslot (they just seemed to wanted to pay always) Gold & Silver pot from 1 Rainbow Riches (Gold was on £500 and Silver £425) Another Rainbow Riches dropped in 5 leprachauns and gave me £400 followed by a Silver pot at £190..... Megaslot went onto feature after only £20 and dropped £500......Total win for 1 day £2015 (and some rather nice female staff there too !!!)

Also there is another arcade just up the road (a huge one - spread across 2 building... think it was Ceasars Palace or something) anyway they seem to have a HUGE over 18 sections with a LOT of S16 machines.
Random Spinner & Hurricane (both side by side) gave me a few decents wins --- came out EVERY day of the week at least £400 up

All in all a VERY good week returning home with £6000 profit.

Methinks that you are speaking through your beard.

Well yes, I'm sorry, my post was a little unrefined to say the least. But a pair of 34DDD (yes, that's a T-R-I-P-L-E D) hub-cap diamond star haloes just sends me off into a blue fit. I nearly had to go change my knickers when I saw that avatar.

#83333 Deal Or No Deal

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 28 May 2007 - 03:57 PM in Any Topic Chat

Hi All,

I was watching Deal Or No Deal today (couldn't find the remote control to turn TV off) and I was wondering if anyone can answer my statistical query or might know of a website which might have the answer. My question is this:

"On average, how much better off would the contestant be if he/she just opened up his/her box straight away and got paid the value of the box, thus making a tedious 45 minute program 40 minutes shorter?"

So, say we're in the first week of the wretched thing and the stats are as follows:

Name Dealt At Box Contained
==========================================================
Fred 10,000 50,000
Joe 25,000 100
Eric 3,000 10,000
Freda 42,000 75,000
Jim Jim 50,000 250,000

Here we see £130,000 being paid out for boxes containing a total of £385,100. So the "Average Contestant" would be 1/5 x (385,100 - 130,000) = £51,020 better off just opening the box or playing to the end.

Anyone into stats?

#84133 Mr Cashpot wins the Cashpot!

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 05 June 2007 - 02:25 PM in Real Fruit Machines

When I had the cashpot, I put all the coins into a very strong bag I had on me then I zipped it up. The bag was a little heavy with all those coins though but I managed to carry the bag, concealed in a strong shopping bag. I got out of Plymouth without mishap. There was no possibility of me getting mugged so long as I kept quiet.

If you win something big, always keep it to yourself and leave the club with your £250 pound coins right away, just what I did. Do NOT change them up into notes unless you trust the attendants. Never boast about your big winnings. Take a taxi if possible to wherever.

Sheesh ... Real ''Ocean's Eleven'' stuff. Are you sure you're not living in a Steve McQueen movie?

#84134 Getting Costly....

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 05 June 2007 - 02:34 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Elvis & Slotto are RANDOM and work on a RNG

What's that, a joke? No fruit machine is random or works on a RNG. It's like those roulette machine in the bookies .... If they rely on a random number sent down a network then the obvious question is "If they work on a random number principle then why can't they just be standalone".

Something a bit stinky going on here. A bit stinky, and very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very dirty.

#84627 Getting Costly....

Posted by Fruity_Goodness on 09 June 2007 - 11:07 AM in Real Fruit Machines

No it's not a joke. You are obviously yet another armchair fruity expert who hasn't the slightest idea what they're on about.

Well OK, so they have now introduced fruities which work on an external networked RNG, just like the roulette machines in the bookies.

That just means that instead of having just the one way of winning you now have two, namely NO WAY & NO HOW.

But the question remains: Why do these machines need an EXTERNAL RNG? Why can a supposedly random machine not generate it own random numbers?

Using a nice little RNG like this one:

But Matt you are using your god given freedom of speech to criticise Bernard utilising his own freedom of speech?? It doesn't make sense, how come you feel you are entitled to your views but he wasn't?? You have this platform and others, he had the comedy circuit. He doesn't have to come on Fruit-Emu and you don't have to buy his Videos or watch his shows.

There obviously seems to be two types of freedom of speech.

I'm not sure about freedom of speech being God given or even god given or that it even comes from Bog. I think that if you have a tongue in your head, a set of vocal chords and the mental capacity for language then you have freedom of speech. The Jews in the Nazi death camps had freedom of speech, as did the plebs in Stalin's Russia, they just chose not to utilise it.

I think a lot of people use the term ''freedom of speech'' when they really mean ''freedom of bleach''.
