I always use my phone abroad mostly in the USA and never had a bill over £200 and using your mobile abroad is still usually far cheaper than using the phone in your hotel room !!

For the sake of a £10 is it worth taking it you would feel much better handing it in than £10 will ever make you feel.
#127564 Would you pay for a new emulator?

#127599 FME-Forever Beta Version...
Posted by fruitman69 on 14 August 2008 - 11:59 PM in General FME Discussion
f***ed if i know....
At least someone is willing to work on an emulator with consistent reports on how well (or not) they are doing. If it all goes shit faced due to the coders limitations, (or otherwise) so be it, its not as if Chris is even contemplating an update or releasing the version that pete w has, why should he.
f*****g off the people that are at least having a go is just going to be counter productive, and serves no real purpose for the scene (whats left of it), as at least guitars postings have generated interest across the foums in the possibilty of something new being available.
Tonys abandoned Jpemu, ReA has abandoned BfMemu, Chris has given up releasing Mfme,(im sure he updates his own version).
So should we all piss on the little fire remaining........or help fan it back to life.
Yeah come on people just let guitar get on with it in his own time FFS

This arguement will rage on and on and i can say for sure that there is no definitive right or wrong answer to it!!! May i first add that cat b3 machines are not the same as the machines that are operated in bookmakers. The "machines" played in bookmakers are a b3 "style" game operated on a fobt format. Why the bookmakers get so much stick is beyond me as they offer far better value to a gambler than an arcade imo. There are still some £500 jp machines in arcades that are "compensated". Thus behaving differently to attain a target %age. In a fobt (which does as it says, places a bet on a random event at fixed odds payouts), if you won £500 on one spin, you would be JUST as likely (or not!) to win £500 on the next spin. What does seem a nonsense to me is that fobt payouts are limited to £500, while in the same building you could make a different bet with your £1 and walk away a million to the good?!?!? AWP wise i think all periods of "enhanced" play should be removed. This will stop the morons chasing the "£140 streak" etc etc and for the average player not cost them as much for a 20 minute session and thus put a little more AMUSEMENT in the Awp!!
hear hear !!
AWP - Amusements With Prizes my arse ! Just exactly where is the amusement in them these days ?

think empire did a small run of wall mounted machines where you just changed the front door to convert one game to another.
baz
Yes it was empire and one was called golden shot i think.
Much better idea, but guess limited space in terms of glass area as the reels have to be there as well.

I paid around £20-25 when I took out holiday insurance to go to Majorca. It sounds about the right price to me and it covered me for everything I needed.

I used to own this actual machine in 1989 i think it was
and TBH i thought it was a pile of poo....
What really killed it for me was the gamble cap at £5 or £10 depending on dip setting.
Not one of barcrests finest moments im afraid.
