#331238 Some Emulators too big for screen

Posted by g555xtc on 16 April 2020 - 10:42 AM in General FME Discussion

v5.1 is the emulator, after unzipping it will be an .exe file. You are best getting the version over at Desertislandfruits.com.

To make a .fml file, you simply load the .dat layout into mfme v5.1 and then go to close it, it will say save yes or no, say yes and it will automatically create a .fml file, which can be used in the latest version v19. You'll need to do this for all .dat layout files, you want to play in v19.

if you're not a member over at www.desertislandfruits.com, sign up.

Make an introductory post about yourself and your fruit machine likes etc.... Over there you'll then be able to download v5.1 and v19 which is the latest version.

Donating at DIF is not compulsory, but you'll get restricted download access. Donating gets you full access to everything and support from people like me, who will appreciate the fact you have made a donation.

Amazing thanks, I found it on there now and opens fine.

#331234 Some Emulators too big for screen

Posted by g555xtc on 15 April 2020 - 08:24 PM in General FME Discussion

you need to renew the emulator, sign up @ Desertislandfruits, once verified

download mfme v5.1 this is for converting older dat.files to the newer fml.file

then download the very latest emulator currently Mfme v19 which only runs on windows10 you can then update it to v19.8 within the emulator these emulators will rescale ALL layouts to fit on laptops etc plus there's many, many more layouts that have been created since 2016

if your laptop only runs windows 7 & 8 then mfme v6.1 is for you

Hi sorry to but in, but what application do you open 5.1 in as it seems to either search the internet or use vlc, doesn't open like a normal mfme. Not sure how to convert the dat to fml, do you have to do them all individually? Thanks!

#309662 ACE Pot of Gold Power up PSU? Problem.

#309661 ACE Pot of Gold Power up PSU? Problem.

Posted by g555xtc on 12 October 2017 - 07:15 PM in Real Fruit Machine help and technical support

Hi everyone, so I have a power up issue with my ace pot of gold, which has impact parts. What happens is, after i haven't played it for a couple of days or more it doesn't boot up straight away, just the coin insert light comes on and you literally have to leave it on for about 5/10mins and then switch off, wait and put back on and it eventually boots up. It sometimes stops halfway through the reels moving, like its really struggling to get to full power. It also resets back to the jackpots on the reels and 0% aim. I have replaced the processor board battery and all tracks on that pcb work fine, which rules that out. Im thinking this may point to a psu problem? The two red lights on the motherboard come on fine too, with the second flashing after a few seconds depending how cold it is. Ive heard its quite a common problem with JPM Impacts not liking being switched off for sometime or being cold. How easy is it to fix a psu on them, seems far over my head, but getting into the microelectronics side of things, have to really considering how old these machines are. They dont make them like this anymore!

#309660 JPM Snakes & Ladders DIL/DIP Switch Fault?

Posted by g555xtc on 12 October 2017 - 06:57 PM in Real Fruit Machine help and technical support

Hi, thanks for the reply. I managed to sort it now. Strangely the manual said the last two DIL switches didn't do anything, but they do, turned them both on and the desired settings for all other switches turned active.

#308796 JPM Snakes & Ladders DIL/DIP Switch Fault?

Posted by g555xtc on 17 September 2017 - 08:43 PM in Real Fruit Machine help and technical support

Hi all,

I recently acquired a 1996 JPM/Crystal Snakes and Ladders Impact. All seemed to be working fine, only an error 8.3, where the battery was flat and I replaced it, luckily no leakage! And an error 1.9 coin mech, but is intermittent and plays fine.

So heres the new problem: I was flicking some of the DIL or DIP switches, whichever they're called to change the stake and payout, but there are 2 sets, the one on the mother board and another on the side near the reels. The machine is now stuck on the mode where it doesn't 'attract' with the lamp display and LCD messages when there are no credits and just has all dimly lit bulbs and snakes and ladders displayed on the LCD screen (DIL no5) according to the manual. This is when i flick it both ON and OFF. Could it be broken, how on earth do you fix DIL switches, seems like a big job or am I just missing something simple? I've reset the machine and still doesn't shift from this mode.

Would really appreciate some advice on the JPM Impact era as have a few of these machines now, albeit one is by ACE, but obviously same parts. And also advice on how to actually change the stake and jackpot as the other DIL switch set doesn't seem to work, when I flip them, error code 5.5 comes up (invalid mode of play).

Thanks a lot.

#303733 JPM Impact Sonic the Hedgehog Error 8.5 RAM Corruption HELP! Acting bizarre?

Posted by g555xtc on 16 May 2017 - 07:06 PM in Real Fruit Machines

Hi everyone, I've been struggling to fix my 1997 JPM Sonic the hedgehog fruit machine, so any help would be much appreciated.

Had it for about 12 years now and played fine up until this point, £1 coin payout has never worked, but thats another issue.

When I switched it on error 8.5 displayed (RAM Corruption) according to the manual. Then it wouldn't power up, only alarmed. I opened the back door and altered some DIL switches and reset the RAM by holding the test button for 20 seconds as you power it up. Now here is the bizarre part.. An IOU code came up: 134225920 TO. I then reset it again and the error code is now gone and it displays like normal, but it just gets weirder.. Every spin now brings in the jackpot and I have no idea how to get this back to its normal self. The APEM switches are all the same and is at 80%, but with bringing the jackpot in all the time, its registering and showing the Actual % as about 200 at the moment in test mode.

I defiantly think the battery needs changing on the Processor board, I literally haven't done anything to the machine since I got it as knew nothing, but now its gone wrong I'm learning, gutted really as these machines are getting rarer due to lazy idiots like myself lol. But I'm not sure if this leakage would cause such a fault as just spinning in the jackpot all the time, seems to be stuck on some kind of mode :-/ I've attached some pics of the battery damage also.

Thanks!

Could be the coin mech problem: Loose wire..

#302118 JPM/Crystal Pot of Gold Wanted

Posted by g555xtc on 01 April 2017 - 07:19 PM in WANTED

If anyone knows where there is a JPM/Crystal Vogue cabinet Pot Of Gold, please can you let me know. Would also settle for the Ace version, one slipped away from me recently on eBay for so cheap at £90, although the reels look like they've seen better days. I've emailed the buyer since he happened to be a youtuber haha. My alis is zeus5 on that incase he reads this. Hopefuly he will feel like selling soon. Im wondering if reelfruits in Kent would sell theirs at the right price, as they have the Crystal version, which is the one i used to play all the time as a kid. Thanks
