in short (and this is in general) a unit/terminal will play as per usual until it triggers a top box feature. if it searches and cannot find the topbox/slave, then it will continue the wins via the reels OR it simply doesnt initialise at all.

yeah there are different compensators for the topbox and reel wins. knew someone who worked where a partytime was sited and he would disconnect one of the slaves for a week then reconnect it after close and play out a weeks worth of saved up tops

anybody else smell that?

if the top box isnt connected it would either lock up or just do a feature with the bottom set of reels (your reels)

as for the advertised percentage, they are breaking the law. I advise you to start a complaint with the arcade, and failing to meet your expectations, inform the gaming commission that you feel the machine was not paying its advertised percentage - provide proof if you have any.

im after some different roms for razzle dazzle, and also the roms for fortune numbers are the £2 ones and i have the £3 dx

reading through some forums it appears that everybody thinks that the reason the stakes are proposed to be £2 - is to protect the vulnerable from pishing their income support straight into a machine.

WRONG

BACTA have been lobbying for years to get a level playing field. Agreed it was a kick in the teeth that sec16 was removed and the new b3 category was introduced; couple this with a smoking ban and a few recessions, it became somewhat dire.

but back to the main point here, BACTA had rather craftily appointed a member of their committee thats also a memeber of parliment. They have blatantly used bad press to their gain, it was never about protecting people, it was about protecting their members arcades.

What if arcades got £20-£30 mega spins under the newly proposed cat b5 machine. do you think they would have kicked up a fuss then? absolutely not!!! the FOBT/cat b2 debait would simply go on a back burner.

According to their we site - " Bacta is the trade body which represents the interests of Britain’s amusements and high street gaming manufacturers and operators."   i've got no doubt that the organization its professionally run, in fact ive rubbed shoulder with 90% of them. But their is a great amount of showmen still on the board (see the end for a explanation of who the showmen are). He's the kind of guy who was quite happy to have his machines on 72% and when your bank got blanked via a crash would laugh and say malfunction voids pay!. imagine their faced when novomatic introduced the gaminator at 92% payout

Section 16 made a lot of money in a short space of time. linked rainbow riches and cashino etc. would see somebody win £500 and then carry on for the gold pot. A good friend of mine took £30,000 out of 5 linked machines in one week. Then big brother gaming commission stepped in, and the showmans dreams were over. then the FOBT fight began.

I mention all this because i want you to get an idea of how and why the FOBT fight came around, and who initiated it. Where was protection of the vulnerable when the £30k was taken ?  Like i said earlier, this has absolutely nothing to do with saving the likes of me and you, its to do with lining the showmens pockets. that said, this could have repercussions from all angles here, increased tax from 20%, potential lowering of their £2 stake, technical standards to increased spin time. etc. etc.

The fight is not over yet, bookies of course will fight the decision and im still of the opinion that a £20-£30 in reasonable. After all, how can you win £500 at £2 on a 35/1 shot ?  Pre-gamble maybe, but certainly gambling your winnings would be odd's on in that eventuality.

as for the showmen of this world, they were travelling family's that stopped their fairgrounds and went to different parts of the coast and set up camp. Most are either dead now or in their 80's, the likes of Harry Symonds in Hastings, Billy Edwards in Portsmouth, Billy peak in  (clacton on sea ??)  then you have North wales, Felixtow, the list goes on. Don't get me wrong, their are some fantastic owners out their that will bent over backwards for a customer.

i think the answer blows open the subject of coders going bad.

yes, thats what it spun. on some machines you can see bits of dust or a hair etc. which it a good way of knowing whats in their or more to the point its not spun off.

there is no difference between reels and video of the same fruit machine. the perception is that reels are not rigged.

fobt games are not online, however the result of the roulette is obtained online rather than internally. roulette is random, where as a `fruit machine` is compensated and thus able to hit a specific %
