Is it possible to edit the Alpha of a layout to say stuff you want? eg VampUK is a god rather than please insert a quid.
I'm thinking you can't as I've never seen one but would be great if there was a way.

some late mpu3,and early mpu4 machines allowed you to create your own message,razzle dazzle and solid silver are two examples, all you do is open the back door check the refill box and press the test button,
then use the buttons to step through the characters.

It should be possible to edit the roms somehow to do that. It wont be easy but it will be possible. That is of course if your the owner of a certain source code so you might be able to recode a rom. Coders from a manufacturer could point us in the right direction. I was wondering the same thing about adding my own sound samples yesterday.
