Im considering buying a Homers meltdown machine (10p play £5 jackpot) for my home games room/bar. I currently have an impulse flashback that plays really well and gets quite a bit of use on poker nights etc.

Will the homers meltdown be a good machine for this kind of situation, the flashback pays out quite regularly so keeps the lads interested and enables me to recoup some beer money etc (all pre arranged with my mates).

The flashback isnt a bad machine but I would like a themed machine for the cool samples etc, just dont want to sacrifice gameplay for looks.

TIA.

It has been cloned about a thousand times by Maygay, and it plays a pretty basic dull game IMHO, incriment 3 pots, get some bonus symbols, mystery and lose etc.
Impulse IMHO are the best company for unique gameplay and samples, I reccomment Funny Money. It has cashpot, features, nudges, blasts, KOs and Winspins. There is a lot more to play there and it has a better sound package as well IMO themed machines like Simpsons have tacky sounds from the movie.

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

It's an infuriating machine IMO, can go for ages without even offering a decent run on the board, never mind a decent win.

I used to get bored real quick on this when it was still out in the wild. The impulse I wasted shed loads on (time and money). Isn't Flashback a little newer than Homer's Meltdown too?
Thank god i'm an atheist....
