HELLO!

My Monty Python is playing up, I havent used for for around 5 months and when you put a coin in it eats it.

I have made a video and took a picture explaining all and I show the clips that I think may have come out, I really hope someone can help here, I will try to take a high resolution pic if anyone wants one of the coin mech.

I have the video here:

www.adranix.co.uk/fruithelp.mp4 - you will need to download it and open with quicktime.

And the picture here: www.adranix.co.uk/fruitpicture.jpg

THANK YOU, Adam!!

Looks like the plugs not in properly. This would be a probable cause of it not validating.

Hi, Do you know what one is not in correctly and where it should go?

Thanks, Adam

The white plug with the orange and blue wires looks like it isn't pushed all the way onto the mech. Turn the machine off, unplug the coin mech, make sure the pins are not bent, then plug the loom back in. It should go in further than that, and evenly - in the pic the bottom is in further than the top.

Then turn the machine on and try it :)
Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

is the machine running MPU-4 or MPU-5 ( looks like MPU-4 (poor vid))
is the machine " eating " ALL coins or is it only swallowing particular coins
is there any other faults with machine alarming etc
if alarming post alarm code number displayed this will tell me how to rectify any possible connected problems
post this info and i will post a step by step guide on what to look for and how to possibly fix the problem yourself.
Your coin acceptor is a MARS ( MEI ) 126 DF (X) these are known to loose their coin windows. but this can be fixed as these mechs are re- " teachable " without to much trouble.

Hi,

Thanks both for replying, I pushed the connector all the way in and it snaped in correctly so thanks stevedude2, however now I seem to have a slightly bigger problem.

When the machine fires up I get an error "NO 24v Drive" "54-28", this seems to be the thing that makes the 20ps come out, further more when I try to eject a 20p in test mode the alarm comes on so im pretty sure there something wrong with the 20p tube.

Its an MPU5 Machine.

Thanks, Adam

the solonoid is the big black lump attached to the bottom of the coin tube (20p tube in your case.) although sometimes orange in colour check for obstructions in the very bottom of tube ( wrong coin for instance ) also check to ensure that the wires are attached. (normally pus-on spade connectors.) WARNING.!!! Whilst the solonoid is only between 24-50v when energized it can give a VERY PAINFUL shock. so ensure that you are not touching it while testing and if you need to connect/disconnect wires from this unit then power down the machine first. I learnt the hard way.!!!! did'nt do it again.!!
