Hi Folks,
Looking for some help please,
While trying to put club cops n robbers in to test mode there was a spark from the motherboard (top right), and a fuse on the power supply blew. I have since replaced the fuse and got it back on but the machine still wont go in to test mode nor will it accept any coins.
It was accepting coins previously and i have tried a new coin mech but that won't work either. The 3.6v Battery is registering around 2V and it looks like one of the plastic incased fuses has started melting.
The machine displays a 9.2 error while booting but this says it is due to the cache not clearing, or not able to remember its last state - i'm sure this is related to the cashpot as when the machine is in attract mode the cashpot always comes on at £200. I think this may be to do with the battery not at full voltage.
If anyone knows where i can get a working scorpion2 board, or has any suggestions it would be most appreciated,
Thanks
Scott.

As this is an older machine would suggest a post to The Mecca in the relevent section maybe more in order here.
A number of old time techies frequent the place & between them all they should be able to offer appropate advice.

you need to replace the battery, any error 9.0+ is an mpu error, if you can't get an mpu then change the battery, you may also need to change the prom

You shouldn't need a new MPU. Is the error a "trace" error? I haven't got a manual to hand but all this means is the compensator has lost it's place. You can clear it down in the hidden tests mode but if you suspect your battery is knackered then changing it will solve this problem. There is no need to change any proms. I hope this helps?
