I remember as a kid eating space dust. My dad actually wrote into "That's Life" and complained that some stuff that explodes in your mouth could potentially choke you. I was bloody mortified at the time...lol

Cremola foam....Raspberry, strawberry, lemon, orange. A whole cup full of fizz with no taste...lol. The last I heard about a year ago was that the makers of Cremola foam had lost the original recipe but I know that a website had been set up for people who wanted to bring it back. I don't know what the address was though. It's out there somewhere.

Now space dust i remember, this foam stuff doesnt ring any bells but space dust or known to us spotty 14yr olds (back then ooh... 13 years ago) as popping candy.

We used to experiment what caused the best reaction - the winner was coke and the fun we had after - now those were the days.

Other sweets sorely missed.

Double Agents
Bazooka Joe (Bubblegum with the cartoon)
Hedgehog flavour crisps (Tudor)
Fish 'N Chips (Salt 'N vinegar crisps shaped like the aforesaid) Might be a scottish thing again

mmmmmm

Hedgehog crisps definately - but what about Bovril crisps. The Walkers Marmite flavour ones just don't cut the mustard.

Agreed....Bring back Bovril....although you could argue that most crisps don't have as much flavour anymore.

While I'm on, why can't you get pickled onion crisps in multipacks anymore?

Added my name to an online petition to bring back creamola foam a couple of years ago, huge amount of entries, hope their on the way, now they have a test case.

Double agents, thought I was the only one who remembered them, ian't no sign on the retro sites.

If you want bazooka joes, go to http://www.bagofsweets.com/ they have em, they don't have spanish gold, which was the sweet tobacco you used to get here, but they do have a form of sweet tobacco.

Anyone remember haunted house lolly's? White with a crap blue ghost printed on the side.

Oh, more retro shit at http://www.nostalgia.../pop/sweets.htm, that's the sweets section, but there's some other good shit on the rest of the site, to get the old synapses firing.

Anyway I'm of to munch some Chelsea whoppers.

OMG....Sweet peanuts...I'd totally forgotten about them. Haven't had one of them in 20 years. Jars on shelves, selling you a quarter. You didn't know what a quarter meant then and ya still don't. Think I'll have to take the ferry to Millport....lol

Other sweets I used to buy in quarters.

Kola Cubes
Chocolate Limes
Rhubarb & Custard

Nope Fish 'n' Chips were also on the South Coast, the wrapper being printed in a newspaper design....

But those Hedgehog Crisps, yep remember them, but I always thought they tasted like a Slow worm..lol, thinking back how the hell did they get away with that--some warped taster :)
