i'm obviously doing something wrong but cant figure out what. basically i've downloaded some of the m1a games (eastenders, simpsons etc) but when i try to load them all that i get is the graphics and sometimes a message saying samples not found or rom not found.

i've downloaded what i believe to be the roms that i can find - e.g. eastenders and unzipped the contents into the same folder as the game but still it wont work. i couldnt actually find a rom file or anything for the simpsons.

can anyone help me out?

just go to main downloads? then search for " ROM " and it will list them all. simpson rom . will limit the search

am i right to put all the files in the same folder as the layout? i tried this with all the eastenders ones and it still didnt work

you get the data file? and copy it to a folder of the same name>>>> then open the rom file and copy to the same folder as before.

yeah i've just downloaded The Simpsons 1280HDX and The Simpsons ROMS from the downloads section. unrar'd them both into the same folder yet when i load the game in the emu i just get the graphics - the game doesnt kick in or anything.

Now, this is why HDX's are confusing. The Simpson HDX doesn't actually use the "Simpsons" roms.

If I'm right, they use the "The Italian Job" roms.

The Simpsons HDX, is the Epoch version, which isn't emulated. So what the designer has done, is to use the roms for "The Italian Job" which is emulated, for the Simpsons artwork.

I hope that all makes some kind of sense.

i knew there was something wrong, with it? now you mentioned it i can remmebre this when i first installed mine, seems such a long time ago now.

Lol, the best bet would probably be to rename the IJ roms to Homers meltdown

I presume you have got as far as Loading the Emulation at this point then?

If that's the case you may need to alter the speed (depending on which MFME version you are using), the answer to this problem can be found in the Fruit-Emu knowledgebase.
